Located in the heart of the 2.4 million acre Frank Church Wilderness in Central Idaho, Pistol Creek Ranch is a private refuge on the banks of the Middle Fork Of The Salmon River that offers hunting, fishing, rafting, and year-round outdoor recreation. Access to Pistol Creek Ranch is by charter aircraft, typically out of Boise, McCall, Cascade, Salmon, Challis or Sun Valley.
NOTICES:
- The ICAO code for this airport has changed as of version 1.6.0 of this scenery. It turns out that ID49 is already associated with the helipad on top of St. Luke's Medical Center in Boise in the real world. To avoid the possibility of future naming conflicts if someone decides to model that helipad, I have changed the ICAO code for Pistol Creek Ranch to 49ID. Sorry for the confusion.
- Two additional libraries have been added as dependencies in version 1.6.0 of the scenery. If you have a prior version of this scenery, you may need to download these libraries if you don't already have them installed.
This scenery features:
- a sloped runway, with a curved approach over a steep river bluff
- parking and taxiways similar to the actual airstrip
- improved terraforming and water texturing on the river and pond
- excess trees and vegetation cleared from runway and paths
- hand-built lodge, barns, and corrals, with horses and lots of custom details
- custom animated flag, windmill and windsocks
- local wildlife
- as a bonus, includes an Airport Chart for Pistol Creek Ranch to help you plan your flight here
To get the full benefit of this package, the following object libraries are highly recommended:
- Flag, windmill, and windsocks: Windy Things
- Animated horses: Beekay Pack1
- Static horses: Dave's 3d Animals Library
- People: Dave's 3d People Library
- Fences: Dave's Bush League Legends Library
- Woodpiles: Dave's Crooked Library
- Logs: Mikea.at AssetPack
- Smoke: PBK Effects Library
Also, if you hate seeing big fuel trucks at bush strips like Pistol Creek Ranch, you might try this tweak to the ambient vehicle traffic settings in MSFS: Ambient Traffic Fix
Enjoy!
P.S. Pistol Creek Ranch also appears as ID49 in Western US Backcountry Strips Vol. 1 by phr34k86. To avoid conflicts, don't load both versions of this airstrip at the same time.

Beautiful scenery!
I have an issue though... the runways are not correctly handled when flight planning, I should be able to choose RWY 04 for take off but I get RWY 22 instead and the flight path ends up being an incorrect one.
Cheers,
Stéph.

After praising the work as being fantastic and amazing, capturing the magnificence of our Great dear state of ID, USA - the detail I would like to know concerns the versioning.
How should we interpret the version number, namely the

I agree that I got a bit sideways with my version numbering. Somewhere along the way MSFS and Flightsim.to handled the numbers differently, and what might have been version 0.1.2 somehow ended up on this site as 1.02. At this point, I would treat the current version as 1.5.0. I will probably take out the leading zero from the version numbering in the next release.

Wish I could upload screenshots. the scenery I got is totally different from the pictures the author posted above, which is fantastic! Mine is missing terrain textures, trees, and the runway. Looks like my overall scenery has been deteriorated. Anyone knows possible causes?
