Description
I'd like to share with the community the enhancement pack for freeware scenery of Iqaluit Airport (CYFB) by Asobo. The Team made fantastic scenery, but there are a few things that are missing from the scenery, therefore this enhancement pack will add the missing details.
NOTAM
This enhancement pack does not change nor modify the original scenery in any way. It only adds small details to make it even better.
NOTAM #2
This airport can be further enhanced by adding Christmas decorations available here
Elements added:
- Missing spot lights and building lights as well as hazard lights to airport's spot lights
- Hazard lights to wind socks and other airport elements
- Additional illumination to hangars across the airport
- Runway guard lights and glare from airport signs
- Added new parking positions, gates and RCAF parking so you can now request ATC specific area of the airport where you want to park. Gates by main terminal are adjusted so that pax aircraft stand close to the main terminal
- terraforming on SW of the airport close to Military offices and parkings
- Static aircrafts
- Barriers and equipment around airport
- I recommend making sure, your sim does not populate the airports with static aircrafts and you have active traffic only active
- Illuminated logo of FBO on their office, close to Royal Canadian Mounted Police office
One other thing, when doing a RCAF flights, don't start at RCAF aprons on the South-west. These gates are for cessnas, Twin Otters, F16 etc, not big aircrafts :)

A PLEA
- If you see a problem, if something's not working, DO LET ME KNOW either in comments section of via private message. I can't fix the problem if I don't know about its existence
- Follow the file. It's not for me, but for you. If the file is corrupt for some reason, or causes CTD, IT WILL be updated. If you don't follow the file, you will miss the updates and might be stuck with either incomplete or corrupt version.

That usually happens when there is a difference between altitude of the airport coded into sim and the altitude of add on (either because of different alt coded to add on or just a small error in sim's decoding altitudes in the region, a.k.a. enhancement would not cause it. I didn't mess around altitudes. I landed there just y/day and had all ok.
Monitor and contact asobo if it happens again. I won't be able to do anything about it, sorry.
The way I minimize such problems is that I have everything activated via addon linker when I need it.

Have a constructive discussion with your antivirus regarding recognition what's a virus and what's not ;)

Just checked, it's working. When the page opens, the aircraft library is 2nd from the top of the list

just a question:
In the last version there have been two folders to install, now there is only one folder as in the very first version. Do I have to remove the zz-airport-cyfb-iqaluit-LC-A folder from last version?

So one of the folders included static aircrafts which conflicted with FSS Embraer 170/190/195 (surprisingly not 175), therefere I removed it. If you're not using fss aircrafts, you can leave things as they are as the only update here is lack of static aircrafts. I will be back to create proper update in that enhencement pack, maybe even tomorrow.

What annoys me more, is that even with recently released airports basic elements are missing, like runway guard lights, hazard lights, pool parking position illumination etc :/
