    Included in this scenery are handcrafted models for the entire airport, an internal model for the ATC tower and three open hangars with animated doors that opens at 6am and closes at 9pm and 11pm local time, or the doors can be opened by hiding the aircraft yoke if they are closed. I've also included models for the US Army Reserve Center, the Kentucky National Guard, State Police Driver Testing, the Roth Family Center, the Cosmetic skin care center and the Dental Implant Surgery buildings. There is also one building under construction as of 2023 which I believe is the Civil Air Patrol building, but could not find any updated images of it beibg completed.

    Bowman Field (IATA: LOU, ICAO: KLOU, FAA LID: LOU) is a public airport five miles (8.0 km) southeast of downtown Louisville, in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The airport covers 426 acres (172 ha) and has two runways. The FAA calls it a reliever airport for nearby Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

    Established in 1919, Bowman Field is Kentucky's first commercial airport and is the oldest continually operating commercial airfield in North America.[citation needed] It was founded by Abram H. Bowman, who was drawn to aviation by the interest generated during World War I.

    This is my home airport. Learned to fly here, live right down the street. This is such a loving and wonderful rendition of a classic GA field. Great work.

    Only suggestion I could offer would be to consider adding the old Lodestar that's sitting on the west ramp and the big tetrahedron nearby. I found both in addons/libraries for a (very bad) KLOU I made a while back. I'm sure the respective authors would give the okay for using them in yours.

    Here is LOU with the L18 (not perfect) and tetrahedron (static). I'm waiting for a reply from albie regarding the plane.     this is my home airport plus my family has a very personal connection to this field, thank you for this wonderful presentation of this historic airport. one issue I have notice both in 2020 and in 2024 is bit of a ramp/ bump right at the displaced thresh hold on 24.

    Uploaded KLOU v1.0.2 that should correct the bumpy runway. If you continue to have issues and you are using GSX, rerun the GSX setup and exclude KLOU.

    FYI - This can be used with FS2024, however the animated doors will not open fully. Looking into this

    Outstanding work yet again! This is freeware that could/should be payware. Your 3D modelling and texturing techniques are simply first class....I appreciate the fact you have chosen to included non-airport building such as the medical facility! Keep up the great work. We need more this work in the sim....and you deserve more downloads then you have received-just saying!

    Ahhh! Amazing! From the big, old hangars like Central Airways to the iconic brick terminal. There's just SO much history here.

    This is my home airport, and I am so grateful to have a bespoke rendition of it. Thank you!

    PDK is on my list and I will add FTY, however it will be a while. I'm doing the airports that have been on my list a while.
