Welcome to Maria Island on Tasmania's picturesque East Coast.
Version 2.0 - Updated for MSFS2024
This island is popular both with day trippers and overnight walkers who are keen to get up close with Tasmania's adorable wildlife, take in the incredible views and explore Tasmania's colonial history. Darlington on the northernmost end of the island is home to a 500m long grass airstrip. This strip is visited by local operators Par Avion (Airlines of Tasmania) and Freycinet Air Tasmania, both for scenic flights, bushwalker transfers and for training flights with a range of BN2, C206 and C172 aircraft. On occasion, the strip will be utilised by emergency services for medical evacuations.
This package has been rebuilt and redesigned for MSFS2024 with updated and colour-correct aerial imagery, custom objects and signage and vegetation/rock placements as well as accurate runway and parking locations. Airstrip markers and signage have been placed accurately.

Over the next few weeks I will produce updated versionsof all of my sceneries (prioritised by number of downloads). These will be native to the new sim and contain tweaks to details such as vegetation and will aim to use more of my models rather than relying on third-party libraries.
I should be able to reduce the size of the download significantly as the new sim has vastly improved aerial imagery around this region therefore requiring less third-party imagery to be included in the modification.
