Welcome to Melaleuca, in Tasmania's remote Southwest Wilderness
Version 2.1 - for MSFS2024
This 350-metre gravel runway is one of Australia’s southernmost airstrips, nestled amid button grass plains near the remote hamlet of Melaleuca and surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Tasmania’s rugged southwest, it offers a distinctive and challenging approach for pilots. This isolated outpost serves as the gateway to Southwest National Park within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area including the renowned South Coast and Port Davey tracks alongside the Port Davey Marine Nature Reserve. Regular charter flights from Hobart-Cambridge Airport operated by Par Avion / Airlines of Tasmania, transport hikers, along with Parks and Wildlife Service workers and volunteers to this site using C206 and BN-2 aircraft.
Version 2.1 includes expanded and colour-corrected 10 cm aerial imagery, refined elevation data and runway profile, improved ground texturing and clutter, PBR-textured terminal, added water areas, boardwalk, and helicopter parking, corrected runway alignment, added AI/Career Mode navigation markings, and updated documentation.

Over the next few weeks, I will produce updated versions of all of my sceneries (prioritised by number of downloads). These will be native to the new sim and contain tweaks to details such as vegetation and will aim to use more of my models rather than relying on third-party libraries.

Windrush certainly looks like an interesting little strip,
I think I'll hit pause on making sceneries for a while now with MSFS24 being just over the horizon, I want to wait and see how much work will be required to get my current addon sceneries into the new sim.

I love that you have put the time and effort into the custom models, they do so much to reflect the reality of the airstrip. It's great that you were able to use a quality aerial image for the airport area as well, makes such a difference!
I just flew from YCBG and had some strong winds to contend with!
It's a great spot though and your scenery represents it really well!
