--Description--
Wanaka is a popular resort town in Otago, South Island of NZ. It is located at the south of Lake Wanaka, not so far from Queenstown. Its population is growing rapidly is a very small town (now around 12000 inhabintants) and there are some project involving expanding the current airport.
This airport is world reknown for the famous "Warbirds over Wanaka" airshow which is one of the biggest airshow in the southern hemisphere.
--The scene--
The scene is a rebuilt of the default airfield.
For its construction, I used several default and custom assets and others from various libraries.
It has been developed using the Orbx NZ Mesh, so it's working with the new mesh introduced by the World Update 12 (NZ).
Work done so far:
- runway and parking place recreation
- custom tarmac markings
- terraforming
- perimeter fences
- adjustments of vegetation
- custom, handcrafted buildings with 4K PBR textures
- recreation of the Clutha River
- addition of the NASA balloon launch circle
- custom fuel pumps
Note: better rendered with Bijan 4-seasons vegetation or even better with REX Accuseason (screenshots are actually with REX Accuseason).

--Installation--
Please remove any previous version of this scenery you may have.
Just unzip and drop the "sbworks-airport-nzwf-wanaka" folder into your "Community" folder of MSFS.
In order to render properly, it is more than strongly recommended to install this library:
- TSR Windy things --> windsocks
- SBworks Library v1.5 or later --> multiple assets, fences...
- Vintage Aircraft collector library v2 (totof) --> aircraft (obvioulsy)
- Aircraft library v4 (totof) --> aicraft
- Animated Human 3D model Library --> people at terminal for instance
- MSFS 2020 object library (colinj) --> hangars in west, south-west and far-east end
- Mikeaat AssetPack --> some runway/taxiway markers

Hey man, thanks for the scenery. I love this area of NZ. Unfortuantely I'm getting pink static aircraft and I'm not sure why. I have double checked and I have every required asset pack. Any ideas?

Hi.
Strange, I don't experience this on my side. Everything seems to work fine. All the static aircrafts are either Asobo/MS ones or from the third party "Vintage Aircraft" library. Maybe you could check you have the latest version.

Really nice airport, well done with many custom objects. Maybe I will delete or change that "Asobo French" gas stations, that probobably are not there. Gas station in NZ are different. Two of them have been placed in the right place. However greath work. Just one question again: here are no runways light or PAPI: Is it right in a relatevely big airport (for NZ)? Thank you wery much for your work, love all your airports.

Yes, there is still some work to do on the stations, I did some Avgas but there are many JetA1 also. I miss good pictures/data of them BTW.
But for the time being don't pay to much attention to those "french" stations haha! ;)

Great work! Have enjoyed the airshow here many times and such a beautiful surrounding area for a scenic flight. Would be happy to pay $10 for the final version as well.

I don't want to install that many library files because it will cause a lot of unknown errors in MSFS. It would be better if these required files could be integrated. I'm happy to pay $10 for the final version, thanks for your work!

You are right, I'm not a big fan of having tons of libraries. The ones I use here are working fine on my side, and the ones "recommended" can be discarded (aircraft and animated humans are just to bring some life to the scene...). Future releases will at least get rid of the "MSFS 2020 object library".
