FS2024 Section

V1.1   04 Dec 24

• Stage 1 conversion to FS2024. Fixes missing buildings, corrects terrain and textures.
• Makes the airport work fine and look fine.
• Look out for further fixes and updates as I discover cool things in the new SDK.

 

V1.2   19 Dec 24

• Changed the terrain pathing references for the new terrain engine to read the surfaces correctly into FS2024.
• Other minor improvements.

 

V1.3   21 Jan 25

• Lots of ground texture improvements that I didn't have time to do. Mainly tidying up artifacts or hiding them with trees.
• Fixed some realy crappy looking dirt textures I never noticed.

 

V 1.5   28 Dec 25

• FS2024 version update.
• Replaces/substitutes many missing objects caused by SU4. Too many to list.
• Fixes lighting issues also caused by updates in SU4.
• All of my scenery is now being checked for this total mess they caused us Dev's.
• Adds FS2024 Helicopter cold and dark parking.
• Adds taxiway exit lighting from the main runways.
• Some other minor fixes and additions.

FS2020 Section

NOTE: Your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed,  just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. This project makes extensive use of the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace. Please make sure you have it installed.

V 3.2 (3 Aug 24)

Welcome back to the all new Kalgoorlie Boulder Airport in Western Australia, now a payware quality scenery addon for you FIFO Pilots to enjoy. With almost 1000 handplaced objects, trees, fences, gates, 3D buildings and a new terminal, Kalgoorlie has truly come to life. Featuring a highly detailed apron, custom multi-layered ground textures and a true to life layout, I have put over 100 hours of work to offer an FPS optimised, low-sized-download alternative to the payware version by NZA Simulations.

Packed full of intricate work, the scenery is a fine addition to my Western Australian collection, and one I am personally very proud of.

Featuring:

• Payware quality.
• A new terminal and roundabout.
• Almost 1000 handplaced objects.
• Custom multi-layered ground textures and markings.
• True to life layout, lighted taxiways and apron.
• Fully fenced and gated.
• Removal of all MSFS artifacts, shadows and blotches for a clean look.
• 2 hangars to spawn into.
• High detail everywhere with precision linework and seamless textures.
• Helipads with hidden parking underneath (parking 100, 101 etc) for cold and dark helistarts.

V 3.4 

• Changes to the main terminal to accomodate goldmunds GSX profile which can be found here.
• Also, if you are missing the terminal letters check to see that you have Airport Markings by Mikea.at as I forgot to add that in the list earlier.

 

V 3.5

• Corrected/straightened all of the taxi signs.
• Replaced the stock apron lines with my own custom ones so that all lines and arrows have the same shade of yellow.
• Made some other minor corrections and improvements.
• Removed an overlay that had made all of the ground textures look a little fake. Not sure how that got in there but it is now sorted.

 

Make sure to check the dependancies as these have now changed since versions 1 & 2.

Tip:

Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.

LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.

From the menu bar of LNM:  Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.
