    Repositioned airfield to match new Bing Maps recently added.

    Reworked markings on runways and taxiway edgings.

    Reworking of many ground textures.

    Updating of approach lights,  threshold lights and runway end lights and side lights.  All attached lights are now directional.

     

    Version 1.4

    Full replacement approach lighting for main runway.

    Perimeter cordon placed around main terminal carparking area.

    Other small additions around main terminal.

    Static Loganair aircraft added,  needs FSLTL models installed.

     

    EGPO Stornoway Airport Version 1.3

    This latest version makes the following changes to the package:-

    Changes to texturing of some aprons.

    More detailed main terminal car parking areas.

    Added ground markings around main terminal and fire station.

    Extensive perimeter fencing.

    This is an upgrade of existing default airport.  The default airfield layout has been retained but the passenger terminal,  fire station, control tower and Gaydon Hanger have been replaced together with other buildings on the airfield.   More detailed parking has been added around the terminal.  Full taxiway lighting has been added together with modification of approach lighting.  Animated wig-wags placed at all appropriate hold-short points.  Oversized wind turbines to south-west of airfield have been removed.

    Stornoway Airport is siuated a few miles west of the town of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis,  the most northerly part of Scotland's Western Isles.  The airport has regular commercial services to Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Benbecula.  There is also a Search and Rescue Station on the airfield.

    Unzip the airport file to your Community Folder.

    Great work....Do we really need the dependencies? Its doesnt seem so for 24? Also i have flowen here a few times now, and keep being vectored to runway 24, wondering if this is SOP or a design issue?

    The package will work without the dependencies but they are there for a reason.
    I don't believe the package will affect the workings of the airport.

    Many thanks for taking the time to add your appreciation. In reality I believe many runways are similar to what you are seeing. Should perhaps mention that the package is only MSFS 2020 compatible but I don't think that makes any difference as far as the runways are concerned.

    Hello,
    I just checked the profile of the RWY on the charts and it's normal, the real RWY is not flat but a bit bumpy.
    So it works just fine in MSFS2024. Thanks again

    This is an excellent airport representation. Everything feels authentic, down to the unevenness of the taxiways. One of the best!
