Description
This is a library of moving simobject vehicles mainly for use in worldscripts.
Moving is cool. You might well have done it today.
There is a limited selection of vehicles in the sim, and an even more limited selection of simobject vehicles that will move.
Thusly I've put this library together which is bunch of about 100 vehicles that have rotating and steering wheels along with light, noise and a wee driver much of the time.
There are no airport vehicles, that needs extra clever programming or I couldn't be bothered, this is for the wider world. These aren't super fancy. I've been rather ruthless to keep the size down.
Also there's nothing articulated as the animation for it doesn't exist as far as I can tell.
There are - motorcycles, cars, 4x4s, trucks, buses, military vehicles, campers, utility vehicles, combine harvesters, tractors, construction vehicles, golf carts, vans and maybe a few others.
As they're animated simobjects they're not massively usable as static models. They will continue to emit noise and creep around unless placed in a worldscript set to zero. You can give it a try of course.
Because of this there's a smaller number of static scenery objects also in this download, mainly stuff that isn't in the main install like combines, tractors etc.
There is also a worldscript with a preset route for each model included, but these are really only for demonstration purposes as land tends to have a lot more obstacles than the sea so the route will be pretty useless. Better to make your own.
There are two items in this download so click two more times after unzipping to find the main package.
The second is for developers with a few example files and a brief description.
The simobjects, worldscripts and scenery object models all have the same prefix that'll show up in the scenery editor - wsv.
Now hopefully you'll go off and do something interesting with them.

V 1.1
This tweaks a few things and adds some new meat.
I suggest you completely delete the old version as this economises on quite a few thing.
The sound now only works above 1 knot so these are more usable as static vehicles, though it's still not too advisable as you still can't turn off the light.
Adds more military vehicles, Land Rovers, expedition campers, tractors and more static models too.
Adds a bit more to the for developers bit. Mainly about this - https://flightsim.to/file/74405/msfs-worldscript-generator-using-google-earth-path-guis-coordinates-unlimited-waypoints
Which will make using these on your own paths a whole lot easier.
Adds a moving landable truck for your helicoptering at Area 51. It's trundling around on the salt flats north of the main apron at 37.25150878477393, -115.8127514858331 . The landable surface is very glitchy and it's a miserable experience getting a decent landing, but it had to be done for the sake of art and science.

This collection includes motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses, military vehicles, construction vehicles and more for enhancing your flight simulation experience. The download also includes static scenery objects and a worldscript for each model, although customization is recommended due to obstacles on land. I wish there was an ambulance to use for "driving around hospitals" :)
Question: can the vehicles be included for an upload or do one have to link to you package?
Regards!
(Edited) Oh.. a video of "how to" would be so cool as well ;)

Problem with emergency vehicles is that every country is different so you'd need loads of them, but I'll add some next time.
I am not a fan of information provided by video. At all. It's such a monumental waste of everyone's time. I've written down how to do it multiple times in the linked bits in the 'for developers' section.
However this video by Mamu is excellent and covers the same area www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCjIvzLjmd4
The princicple is simple enough. Take one of the example xmls, change to your own guid and choose the models, go to google maps and note your own coordinates and add them, or make a non geographic route out of multiple points a set distance from the model's point of origin.
Roads in general, especially narrow ones, are a problem. MSFS and Google don't agree on coordinates so some require more fine tuning than is practical, or tolerable.
