EGPC Wick Airport
Version 1.6
Now usable in MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.
Updated model and surroundings for Noss Head Switching Station.
Some re-texturing and added detail to airfield and immediate surrounds.
Version 1.5
The airfield and surrounds have been re-positioned to match default background map.
Improvements have been made to some custom-made buildings and extra detail has been added.
Version 1.4
Removes smoke effects from fire practice area, which appear to cause loss of performance.
Version 1.3
Full replacement aproach lighting.
Some re-configuration of runway side lighting.
Added detail to main terminal carparking. More detail on fire practice ground.

This version adds the following:-
Correction of hold short 'C' signage
Full perimeter fencing
Addition of Noss Head Switching Station main structure
This is a upgrade of the default airfield, based mainly on the default airfield layout, but with adjustments made to main runway length and thresholds, taxiway lights added from main apron to Runway 13-31, wigwags at appropriate hold-short points. Adjustments have been made to approach lighting although it is not quite as it should be ( another update perhaps )
Replacement models added for the buildings around the terminal and main apron and the neighbouring industrial estate including Tesco Supermarket. Extra parked vehicles and some static aircraft added. Basic night lighting has been added.
Wick Airport is the most northerly airfield on Mainland UK.
The airport is run by the Highlands and Islands Airports Group.
At present there are no scheduled commercial flights from the airport but it is hoped that may change in the near future.
The airfield however is busy with some traffic to and from the Oil and Gas Fields of the North Sea and GA traffic. It can be a stop off point for flights to Orkney and Shetland for smaller aircraft.

Love your airports Scotflight. This is a nice base to see Dounreay power station by Flak and short trips over to the Orkneys. Keep up the good work and thanks for your efforts.

Hello Scott. Really nice job done for Wick airport. Just to point out holding point B Rwy 13/31 should be holding point C.

Appreciate your kind comments.Missed the parking chaos at Tesco and other places by having my 'road traffic' turned off. Now looking at update to rectify this problem. Concerned about the 'hold short' lines appearing in your version of the airfield. I am not seeing them with a black background
