    Description

    Lechfeld Air Base (ICAO code: ETSL) is a military airfield located in Lagerlechfeld, a district of Graben and Untermeitingen in the Augsburg district of Bavaria. During the Cold War, the airfield and barracks were jointly used by the US Armed Forces and the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) for an extended period. From 1958 until March 2013, the air base was home to Fighter-Bomber Wing 32 (JaboG 32).

    Since 2013, following the disbandment of Fighter-Bomber Wing 32, it no longer houses its own permanent unit but serves as an alternate base for Tactical Air Wing 74 (TaktLwG 74).

    There were also plans to station the A400M strategic transport aircraft at Lechfeld, thereby distributing the fleet between two locations, in addition to Wunstorf Air Base. The establishment of a Multinational Air Transport Unit was planned for this purpose, but the plan has since been abandoned.

    For Installation you need to place the following packages in your community folder (airport files are alternative):
    - etsl-lechfeld-airport-fs20 (remains Version 1.0.0, will not be updated any longer)
    - etsl-lechfeld-airport-fs24 (native FS24 Version 3.0.0)
    - etsl-lechfeld-shelters

    Thank you for your efforts creating this air base! Can you also design Landsberg air base (ETSA, Penzing)?

    Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately ETSA is not on my agenda.
    The airfield was officially decommissioned as early as 2020. This means that the aviation regulatory authorization for its operation—both military and civil—has lapsed. The former C-160 are used now as filmstudios.

    Vielen Dank für den Reupload der FS2020 Version., bei mir will der FS2024 einfach längst nicht so stabil laufen.

    Jedoch habe ich ein Problem mit den schönen Sezenerien: Obwohl sämtliche Abhängigkeiten installiert sind fehlen mir alle Shelter in ETSL als auch in ETSN. Hat jemand eine Idee wie sich das Problem lösen lässt?

    Die Shelter sind unabhängig von den 'Dependancies'. Die stammen aus EDJA Memmingen, das ist ein Microsoft/Asobo Stock Airport. Vielleicht fehlt Dir ein FS Update.

    Vielen Dank für eine schnelle Antwort, mit der Info kann ich arbeiten. Tatsächlich hatte ich EDJA deaktiviert da es in EDJA zu Überlagerungen mit einer anderen EDJA-Szenerie kam.

    Kenne sie noch gut aus meiner Bundeswehrzeit in den frühen 1980ern (Luftwaffe, ehem. Natoflugplatz Husum, Schleswig-Holstein)
