    Description

    First set up as an advanced landing groud for the RAF during the Second World War, Deanland Airfield has been a home for light aviation since 1963. There's one grass strip (06/24) and plenty of hangarage, as well as a hangarage.

    It's nestled in a lovely part of southern England, just a couple miles away from Kittyhawk Aerodrome, which I've also created for MSFS.

    This is a complete overhaul of the scenery:

    • New custom ground textures
    • Several handcrafted custom buildings and other objects
    • Everything as true to life as I can for now 
    • Red and white markers on the approach to RWY24 - keep to the south of these or risk annoying the neighbours!
    • More generic clutter and signage coming soon

    As ever you'll need to download a few libraries to make this work; they're listed below.

    Please do let me know what you think - feedback and comments are hugely welcome! I'll aim to keep updating and tweaking this one as much as I can.

    I'd love to use this airfield but the sheer number of dependencies (totalling several GB when unpacked) is sadly off-putting. Is there any chance of a compressed version with fewer dependencies?

    It'll probably work more or less without those libraries: there will just be objects missing. I'll have a look and see if I can replace some of the objects with custom objects or base scenery, but so many mods use those libraries that I think they're honestly well worth having if you can.

    As with all UK airfield sceneries from mh747, this is a lovely, immersive model with lots of great objects and models (including the sign with the noise abatement rules for Rwy 06 departures). I actually prefer MH747's airfields over Burning Blue Design renditions, because (i) they're free! and (ii) they have no effect on performance.

    I have downloaded all of mh747's UK airfields and will greatfully download all future offerings, as soon as they're released.
