FS2024 Section

V1.1   26 Nov 24

• Stage 1 conversion to FS2024. Fixes missing buildings, corrects terrain and textures.
• Makes the airport work fine and look fine.
• Look out for further fixes and updates as I discover cool things in the new SDK.

 

V1.2   07 Dec 24

• Corrected the runway markings the new Sim threw in.
• Corrected ground textures that I had missed.
• Returned the undercover hangar parking to the original locations for spawning into the hangars.
• Made some other minor improvements.
• Fixed a building.
• Looking good for FS2024 now!

 

V1.3   20 Dec 24

• Changed the terrain pathing references for the new terrain engine to read the surfaces correctly into FS2024.
• Made some minor additions while I was in the editor.

 

V1.4   01 Jan 25

• Fixed some floating objects in the open hangars.
• Removed an obstacle on approach to RWY 03

 

V1.6   24 Jul 25

• Brighten'd up the entire airport for an amazing night experience.
• Made some minor additons and improvements, ready for SU3.

 

V1.7   29 Dec 25

• FS2024 version update.
• Replaces/substitutes many missing objects caused by SU4. Too many to list.
• Fixes lighting issues also caused by updates in SU4.
• All of my scenery is now being checked for this total mess they caused us Dev's.
• Adds FS2024 Helicopter cold and dark parking.
• Adds taxiway exit lighting from the main runways.
• Some other minor fixes and additions.

 

V1.8   24 Jan 26

• Replaced another building SU4 deleted that I had missed.
• Retextured runway 27/09 to look more realistic.
• Retextured all the FS2020 grass I had previously done with FS2024 textures.
• Prepared the scenery for my Taxituner 4 profile for the Say Intentions AI. Not all my scenery needs changing, just a few like this one.

FS2020 Section

NOTE: Your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed,  just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. This project makes extensive use of the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace. Please make sure you have it installed.

 

V 1.0 (23 Jun 2024).  

Welcome to North Shore Airport as I continue to populate New Zealand with high quality airfields. Based on the latest aerial photography and charts I have faithfully recreated this in high detail. Nestled in the affluent North Shore area and surrounded by beautiful homes and swimming pools, I have created the surrounding scenery and residential areas as well as the airport to payware quality.

Strictly a GA Airport, North Shore is a privately owned and operated airfield and caters for many charter companies.  For me this was an airport that was badly needed to fill in the gap between Auckland International and Whangarei.

As usual I reserve the right to apply creative license to my work and in this case I have added a cafe next to the Aeroclub for you to enjoy a relaxing beer after you land. Features Include:

• Over 500 handplaced objects
• Advanced texturing, including apron and taxiway wear and tear and damage.
• Your own personal hangar to spawn into ( GA_Small Parking 1 ).
• Local residential buildings with swimming pools and tennis courts.
• The surrounding market gardens, greenhouses, construction sites and much more.

There are other hangars you can spawn into, I will let you find them on your own.

 

V 1.1 (29 Jun 2024).  

• Completed the residential areas surrounding the airport.
• Filled in the empty helicopter hangar with choppers.
• Made a few minor corrections and additions.
• That is probably the end of this airport unless anyone reports issues.

 

V 1.2 (27 Jul 24)

• Cut the annoying length of all MSFS grass textures down to 1/3rd of their stock length. Makes a massive difference especially for Helipads.
• Essentially I, 'mowed the grass'.

 

V 1.3 (8 Aug 24)

• Applied my heli start fix - hidden parking under existing pads (100, 101 etc) for cold and dark spawns.

 

V 1.4 (9 Aug 24) 

• Replaced the high trees on the approach to RWY21 with bushes as reported in the comments.
• Added shrubbery around some residences to cover the MSFS artifacts of the same.
• Made other minor improvements to the scenery.

 

V 1.5 & 1.6 (6 Sep 24)

• Dulled down some bright aprons, made them a little more grey. They are white in RL but looked too bright in the sim.
• Corrected any taxisigns and placed them in the right position and orientation.
• Replaced the stock lines with my own custom ones. Now all ground markings and lines will be colour matched.
• Made some other minor corrections and additions. 
• This should be the last update before MSFS 2024.

Tip:
Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.

LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.

From the menu bar of LNM:  Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.
