Terraforming issues on the river bank in 2024 but the runway area seems ok

You have wrong name in your file - you have marked it as PGTW, the right ICA is PGTN.

Amazing work thank you very much. When I initially began playing on MSFS I was into the tubeliners but then began to get so bored boring holes in the sky at 38,000feet. What is the point of MSFS amazing scenery if I'm blasting along high above it? So now I have ditched the Airbuses and I'm in the Cubs, Caravans, Twin Otters and one of those Got Gravel Monster mod bush planes with the Alaska tires! Anyway, I was watching this video by AvAngel and thats how I discovered your work! Thanks to you I'm hooked on Alaskan bush flying!

Thanks! Next awsome scenery. Notice only that you have wrong name in your file - you have marked it as PGTW, the right ICA is PGTN.

Terrific as usual, I have no idea if these remote parts of Alaska actually look like this but they should. I love searching these airstrips out without using GPS - it can take a while but its worth the effort, thank you!

Thank you! Well, I hope it somewhat resembles what's there in reality and how it looks. It's a nice challenge to fly visual only in the Alaskan backcountry. Definitely, my preferred way of flying and navigating.

Well it's look like beautifull as usual, but I just can't take off, I'm always "dying" because I'm hitting something invisible on the track (and one time even before).

    I don't understand what's happened ! I would use the wilga 80X but crash every time T_T

Where on the strip does it happen?

Sounds a bit weird. I'll check if I can reproduce it. Don't have the Wilga though, so have to do it with another aircraft.

I checked in the WB-Sim Cessna 172 and I can't reproduce any crash, neither on take-off nor landing. I had all crashes/damages turned on, took off and landed in both directions. Have you tried with another aircraft? Have you checked if there is any terrain tearing on your end? What happens when you disable the crashes/damages in the assistance options? Are you maybe clipping something with a wing? Just some ideas to check.

Yo, well I tried to reproduce this today : I never hit something (yet my landing were terrible), I tried it with both the wilga and the kitfox, no problem. Could it be some sort of bad meshes loading ? Anyway, that perfectly fine now.

An by the way, the areas where I had problem were :

The little bush (I think) at the right of the taxi way perpendicular to the tracksomewhere in the very middle of the track, on the north side.At the west extremity of the track, wilga had strange bounces when I tried to turn over.

But again, I went on the same area and that not happen anymore, there is no more trouble now.

And I can see how the great job you done on this ^^

    Thanks for your reactivity !

Glad that it worked out. It may indeed be some random ground mesh tear due to bad loading, but it's hard to tell. If you run into more consistent problems let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Same situation for me yesterday. Cessna 170 and PC6 Pilatus. In the mid runway, some invisible object that crush the plane. I will disable the damage setting and check if this work and what happens. thanks Wookie for your work!

If you can reproduce that more consistently I may have a look again, however, I couldn't reproduce it on my end until now, so it's hard to fix.

Nugget Creek Cabin, 4AA3, Alaska, USA

The privately owned cabin is located right at the bank of the Tsirku River roughly 30 miles west of Haines deep in the mountains. It's the last landing site before the Tsirku Glacier head further up the valley. If you want to get away from the crowds, enjoying untouched wilderness for miles and are into hunting and fishing this is the right spot for you - provided that you can handle its airstrip which is only roughly 545 feet long and not much wider than the wingspan of a Kitfox or Piper Cub.

Glacier Point is located approx. 22nm south of Skagway and 56nm north of Juneau.  The closest settlement/town is Haines, which is located 8nm to the north across the Chilkat Inlet. Despite its remoteness, it's one of the most popular sightseeing sites in the Haines/Skagway area,  due its easy access to the Davidson Glacier which terminates only 2nm to the west.

Takhin River Airstrip, 4AA4, Alaska, USA

Takhin River Airstrip, 4AA4, Alaska, USA

This airstrip is an old half abandoned and partially overgrown airstrip on the right bank of the Takhin River in the Takhinsha Mountains. Half way between Haines and the Tsirku Glacier, it presumably once served as entry and drop off point for hunters, researchers and others who needed to access the wilderness. It has seen some recent interest and activity by some local bush pilots and hunters and has been cleared of the worst, however, this is a non-maintained and rarely used airstrip, so be cautious.
