Description
This is an insertion of the renewed Penzance Heliport in Cornwall that is the base of Penzance Helicopters who fly to Tresco and St Marys on the Isles of Scilly.
It has a real world ICAO - EGHK - that the sim has allocated to some farm airstrip so this one is EG39 instead.
I couldn't do Land's End and St Marys and not do this too. High five to Havoc11 for reminding me.
All done from scratch as there's nothing but some brown streaks in the sim.
At the heliport site itself I've covered up the burn ins and building work. Done the car parks. Added some hedges and fencing. Windsocks have been added in the correct locations.
Because you've been so well behaved recently you receive a custom terminal. I can't find any photos of the interior and I haven't been there yet, as I have a ticket to use up, so the interior is a bit of a blank guess at present.
There are two parking spots. One on the official helipad and another a few metres to the right. No idea if you land there in real life. The runway start is on top of the main parking spot pretty much so if you want to start cold and dark instead of already spun up you'll have to hover your mouse around a bit to make the right selection.
It has slightly silly taxi lights surrounding the landing pad as I couldn't get the correct ones to work. I haven't added proper ATC. Let me know if you want it.
I you're unaware of them this goes neatly with Tresco - https://flightsim.to/file/598/eght-tresco-isles-of-scilly-uk
And St Marys on the Isles of Scilly which contains Bishop Rock and Longships lighthouses both of which are landable in your wee chopper - https://flightsim.to/file/3615/eghe-st-mary-s-airport-isles-of-scilly-uk-upgrade
I would advise not telling them if you've arrived from here at Lands End - https://flightsim.to/file/2812/eghc-land-s-end-st-just-airport-uk-upgrade as they will shoot you down on takeoff as they tried to stop this place getting built.
V 1.4
Removes some new buildings gifted by the flight sim gods smeared all over mine. Thanks, guys.

They do not appear to have put an airport in its place. Just extra buildings causing the conflict.

Great heliport.
Works perfectly, looks great
and is a great upgrade for the MSFS.
It is compatible with SU11,
thanks for that

Just another big thanks from me Superspud. Really appreciate your work and since I'm a simmer based in SW England, I get to benefit from nearly all of your best stuff. Great that you are keeping these all up to date and even improving them as well.

Thanks for the update. I have to say, however, that your update description is lacking the flair, sarcasm and irony of your usual missives. I look forward to this being corrected, aggressively, in your next update.

This is a great Heliport and i installed it from the first version without problems. Since the recent update if i take off from a nearby airfield and land on the "H" at your heliport i get an imediate CTD. This happens with both the H135 and H145 with only your heliport and the two helicoptors in the Community Folder. No other addons at all in the folder and the CTD does not happen at any other heliport. Is this a known bug?

That's a new one on me. There was someone who had another mod who got an instant CTD when they touched a particular runway and that was down to them having Navigraph installed for some reason.
The only change I've made to the the landing pad is the angle of the start and the height of the taxi lights. I'll upload the old version so hopefully that should work still.

wow thank you for your prompt reply and yes i do agree it is an odd one, this has happened to me before with the H135 but it was a very intermittant CDT and i just accepted to be one of those things with everything being new. I'll run a few more tests to try to find out under what conditions i get this :)

Thanks for this Superspud. Just wondered have you ever shared your real world visits to places anywhere, videologs, photo's, reddit posts etc? If not, I'd love to see you on your travels visiting these places. As a sim pilot only, and new to this hobby I'd love to see these places for real, and video footage of you walking around and showing the places off would be fascinating. I expect lots of others would be interested also. Just an idea!

I have an untold number of enemies so cannot divulge my movements other than through here after the event.
Rather more pertinently I haven't been anywhere remotely interesting other than the Isles of Scilly via here or Land's End since that wee illness thing.
But for that I would've gone to most of the places I've done on here and plenty more. St Helena, Ascension and the Falklands is the big one but I have to wait until next year as Ascension's runway is still broken. I think that will be worth documenting somehow.

Hello superspud! I am a great fan of your work, I have downloaded many of your addons including Kai Tak and St Just. However, can you create the old Croydon Airport, i would be so thankful! I hope you will read this.

A period piece would be a lot of fun, but I think that one might be beyond me at my present abilities, or lack thereof. Also finding enough references would be an undertaking and a half. I will file it away anyway as lightning might strike.

Thank you for the reply! I wish you the best, you are great at making addon airports, however its a shame that you cannot make Croydon, but I understand. Thanks

I found a birds-eye view of Croydon. I dont know if you're allowed external links here though. Amazing again Superspud ! one very small thing....The title of this update is a little different from the previous version so it doesn't automatically replace the older folder in the community folder when copied in.

Odd. I don't remember changing anything. But no one said progress would come without a cost.
