Description
Version 1.1
Slight upgrade to the Lands End area
- Added The Brisons (rock breaker islands) off the coast of Cape Cornwall
- Added some further rocks and pulled the water level away slightly around the area
- Culled some trees on rocks around the area
This is a modification to pull back ASOBO's agressive shorelines around some of Cornwall's coast to reveal more of the beaches and shallow water / sanbanks.
I have uncovered as much as the satalite imagery allows in an area from Pentire Point, St Ives Bay round to Falmouth.
For instalation extract the folder "mgk07-Cornwall" into your MSFS community folder.
Check out my other sandbank mods here: https://flightsim.to/profile/mgk07/uploads
Happy Flying,
Mark.

Hi,
Thanks again :-)
Any chance you could do a little fine-tuning to the Bedruthan Steps and Kynance Cove as well as Chapel Rock, Marazion?
Also the beaches East of St Ives (Porthkidney, Hayle Towans) are still missing.

thanks for that

Excellent job. Big improvement on default coastline. If only you could do something with the Dover white cliffs?

Thanks, will add it to the list of requests and see what's possible.

Excellent work! I flew my FlyingIron Spitfire from Culdrose to St Marys on Sunday using this mod, low and slow with canopy open. Big grin on my face, so immersive. This mod really adds so much to the natural beauty of the Cornish coastline. Big well done and thank you! If I could make a special request, the Northumberland coastal route (Newcastle upto the Scottish border) has some incredible coastlines, water masks and wild beauty...Would you please consider doing the same for this area? It could do with some love. I flew along there IRL last year, and was gobsmacked at the beauty of the coastline. Particularly around Dunstanburgh castle.

Thank you - I'll add that area to the list and see what's possible and hopefully the satellite imagery off the coast is decent :)

These are awesome, I'm grabbing them all, thank you! Are you planning to do the whole of the UK?
Thanks. I was only planning to release the one! 😆 not sure about the whole of the UK but I’m sure I’ll have a good portion of it covered eventually.

Hi, I'm just wondering if your additions solve to popping up scenery that's endemic around the Cornish coastline?
Hi, I don’t think it will unfortunately as I’m sure the scenery pop in is related to the level of detail set by Asobo for the distance. I think it’s noticed more around Cornwall because the scenery mesh quality is quite high for the UK and because the coastline can be quite rugged you tend to notice the pop in more when you fly closer to it.

ok. That's a shame. Be nice to see that fixed someday... I suppose it means replacing the Coastline with another custom made scenery more user friendly...
