    KNEW Lakefront Airport

    Lakefront Airport (IATA: NEW[2], ICAO: KNEW, FAA LID: NEW) is a public airport five miles (eight kilometers) northeast of downtown New Orleans, in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, United States. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport.

    Included in this scenery are handcrafted models of most buildings with the exception of a few small sheds. Two open hangars with animated doors that opens at 6AM and close at midnight local time. During hours that the doors are close you can hide/unhide the flight yoke to open/close them. I modeled all buildings in the South Shore Harbor Marina with static boats.

    Also included are two bridged on Stars and Stripes Blvd and Hayne Blvd along with Senator Ted Hickey Bridge.

    You did an awesome job on this airport, including the surrounding scenary. I was wondering if you might be able to add a couple of windsocks along the 36/18 runway? The current windsock isn't visible to pilots if they're taking off on the longest runway, especially on the 18 heading. It's not a show stopper, but it always nice to have visible wind socks that can be seen by the pilots when taking off. I say this with the knowledge that they may not be there at the real airport. But in the Sim, sometimes the ATC will direct you to take off on the wrong runway, wind direction wise. Keep up the great work.

    Added more socks. Not sure about FS2024, but I know for sure that the windsock was 180 deg out in some fs2020 default scenery and maybe all. I always replace the default windsock making sure it is reading the correct direction.

    Wow. I requested this airport about 4-5yrs ago & waited years for someone to attempt it. I put over 1k hours into MSFS before falling out of the pattern & not playing for the last couple of years. For the first time in years i just randomly checked to see if someone had made KNEW & bizarrely, you uploaded this yesterday. I look forward to checking it out. Anything is a big improvement over the original. Thank you!

    I considered adding all the figures on front of the terminal, but each is different, and would just be too much work.
