The Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for virtual pilots. This freeware modification, designed to work with the Premium Deluxe edition of MSFS, brings numerous enhancements to the base 787-10 model. Key features include a fully functional Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with performance calculations and an added doors page, as well as detailed exterior textures featuring grime, dirt, and various markings for a realistic look. The model also includes SATCOM integration, new wing textures, and refined animations for engine fan blades and wing flex.

In the cockpit, pilots will find new textures, accurate engine displays based on the variant, and an optional Vbar display for the Primary Flight Display (PFD). Sound enhancements include a new GEnx sound package, while flight dynamics have been meticulously reworked to match real-world 787-9 performance tables. This includes adjustments to fuel flow, taxi behavior, idle thrust, flap configuration, and drag/lift values. Additionally, the add-on offers over 30 liveries, GSX profiles, and a paint kit, providing extensive customization options for users.
