This collection brings together freeware liveries for the Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Developed by Horizon Simulations and available free of charge, the 787-9 mod builds upon the default Asobo Boeing 787-10 — requiring the Premium Deluxe Edition of MSFS 2020 to be installed — and transforms it into the middle and most widely operated member of the Dreamliner family, capable of carrying up to 296 passengers on long-haul routes of up to 14,000 km. The mod features both the General Electric GEnx-1B and Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine variants as separate aircraft entries, a reworked exterior with grime, dirt, and SATCOM, an EFB with performance calculations, improved flight dynamics, and SimBrief profiles for both engine types. Community-created repaints span a vast range of real-world operators — from United Airlines, Air Canada, and Qantas to El Al, Oman Air, and Juneyao Air — alongside fictional and virtual airline designs, frequently in 4K or 8K resolution. A fully native Version 2 with significant improvements is currently in development. Liveries are installed by placing the folder into the Community directory.
