    Description

    This version works with 2024 and the large hangar doors open and close every minute or so.  

    There must be some wealthy vacationers that visit this area because there seems to be a number of biz-jets that park here. 

    This beautiful terminal is set to be replaced soon, so I was glad to be able to reproduce it for MSFS. 
    The Pacific 66 hangar has an animated door.  You can start from inside by selection parking 10. 

    If you love this area, you are going to enjoy the upcoming Lake Placid (including the ski jumps) and White Face Mountain heli pad. 

    As this is a beta version, please forward criticism to my PM before rating it.  I will be happy to include suggestions.  Keep in mind that the research and custom creation can take a lot of time and patience.

    Very well detailed. I live in the midwest, not far from Chicago but have always wanted to explore the northeast from the air. I like flying into and out of this airport in a variety of aircraft.

    This is beyond exciting!! I have just recently moved back to the Adirondacks and have assumed the role as Assistant Airport Manager at KSLK!! What an amazing addition to the FS world! Thank you for your hard work! This is one million miles from a complaint, but the Taxiways are mislabeled which I am happy to assist you in correcting if you ever have the desire. Once again, it doesn't bother me at all as this is an amazing replication of our quaint Adirondack airport and home to the longest runway in the Adirondacks. The new Terminal will hopefully be complete in the Next 2-2 1/2 years. Thank you again for bringing this next level of realism to the simulator for me!! 1000 stars!!

    I was thrilled to receive your wonderful accreditation. For the correct taxiways you can a PM me, although I am wondering why I didn't take them from the airport chart. I guess I was hasty in putting it out there.
    It is nomally difficult to do the research and get images of the buildings etc if there are some details that would enhance the airport then kindly send some images and I will include them in the next version.

    Very nicely done. The animated hangar doors on the Phillips barn is very cool. Would be nice if the doors on the big hangar next to it were animated also so one could tuck a Citation Longitude in there.

    Wow thanks.. I was getting pretty down about doing scenery, so it is very nice to get compliments like yours. Stay tuned for Lake Placid, including the ski jumps and Whiteface Mountain Helipad. (freakin difficult to land on )

    I flew into and out from this airport a few years back. Beautiful area!

    Port Hardy is one of the most important airports on Vancouver Island and is home to Wilderness Seaplane which continues to serve the region with a fleet of Gruman Goose'.  It has an ILS with glideslope on Rwy 11 -  dial in 109.5 for the localizer and glideslope.  It has a new terminal building in which the roof resembles the cross section of a wing.   I spent some wonderful days up in that area at Telegraph Cove - 40 miles south, but have been a fan of this wild and beautiful part of Canada for years. See the artwork of Emily Carr for instance. I wanted to incorportate some of the artwork of the coastal indigineous peoples -Kwakiutl First Nations -so I included them as highlighted in the terminal building.  (dugout canoe and exterior facade)
