#Real-Life #Sightseeing United States Exclusive Drag and Drop
This bush trip offers you all the legs of the real VFR flights we flew in May 2019 with a Cessna 172. It's a loop in California, Nevada and Arizona, from San Diego to Los Angeles, Monterey, Mojave, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Marble Canyon, Sedona, Big Bear, Oceano and some others. Try to fly as much as we did in VFR by following VFR charts but most of all, look outside and enjoy the sightseeing+MSFS world rendition. This is my first bush trip thanks to BushTripInjector by BuffyGC. Comments are welcome!

Important: starting from version 1.1, if you have download and start a previous version of this Bush Trip, be advise that choosing the new version in MSFS Activity will make you restart all the leg.

What's new in V1.3
+ re-compile with the latest version of BushTripInjector 0.4.8.629 adding ATC WITH VOICE

What's new in V1.2
+ re-compile with the latest version of BushTripInjector 0.4.7.626 adding ATC (NO voice, text only), weather selection, checklist.

Where this FW19 Bush Trip will fly you ?

  • San Diego Montgomery field to Bakersfield via LAX
  • Bakersfield to Monterey
  • Monterey to Mojave
  • Mojave to Las Vegas, NV via Edwards AFB
  • Las Vegas to Page, AZ via the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon (VFR corridor)
  • Page to Monument Valley
  • Monument Valley to Marble Canyon
  • Marble Canyon to Sedona
  • Sedona to Twentynine Palms
  • Twentynine Palms to Big Bear
  • Big Bear to San Luis Obispo
  • San Luis Obispo to Oceano
  • Oceano to Kern Valley
  • Kern Valley to Zamperini/Torrance via Hollywood Sign and Los Angeles international
  • Torrance to Catalina Avalon
  • Catalina to San Diego via Miramar MCAS

How long?

  • Flight length: 2000 nm
  • Flight Duration: +17 hours (estimated)
  • Number of legs: 16
  • Min / Max leg: 19 min / 1h43min

How to install?

Unzip the file into your Community folder. Once installed go to Activities, Bush Trips and select Farwest'19 in the list.

Limitations

  1. No altitude are set in the nav log due to Little Nav Map Flight Plan capabilities. There's no way to set altitude for each legs but some indications are available in each legs.
  2. As soon as you stop your plane, the legs stop and... congratulations! In MSFS you can stop on the runway or just after vacated. It's up to you. But then you have finished the leg. In real world, another journey starts: find a parking slot for the plane and most of the time find the way to the FBO and fuel
  3. This bush trip package use the Cessna 172 G1000 to be compatible with all MSFS version from standard to Premium Deluxe.
  4. The magenta line is not display on the G1000 MFD even if the full route is loaded. Because it would be too much helpful ;)

Do you recommend any extra MSFS addons?

Thank you for your kind comment ;) I really appreciate it.

I've released a second bush trip with a different perspective, more focus on short technical VFR navigation : "VFR Transitions at San Diego". Let me know if it match your expectations ;)

Didn't there used to be a picture of this bush trip route? I just want to make sure I get all my scenery sorted out before I begin. I know I've seen one, I just don't know where.

Alright, I'll be starting this tomorrow. I have all of your suggested scenery installed, and have added a few more things. I added Big Bear, California by flightsimdude, San Pedro Bay Port Facilities by FreakyD, Santa Barbara Oil Rig Placements by B Houston, Elevation Fixes United States by AlpineScenery, Sedona Cinematic by GeoRender, Arches National Park by Jeppeson2001, which are all available on this site. And for the plane, I always have Working Title's G1000 mod. Look forward to starting this one!

Merci Vincent, pour ce partage, je vais m'y coller avec le C172 de base de MSFS, c'est celui ci que tu utilises ??

Hello Cro, this Bush Trip by default uses the C172 G1000 which is the one all MSFS customer have. I personally much fly with the C172 steam gauges version ;)

    Hello
I have done only the first leg to Bakersfield and I already enjoy it !! Unless I am mistaken, I have identified 2 errors in the comments of the navlog.
First, the frequency of VOR VNY is 113.10 instead of 113.6. Second, the code of Shafter Minter airport is KMIT instead of KBFI.
I will continue this nice bushtrip in the next few days.

Hi Spitzulu! Thank you for using my first Bush Trip and appreciate your bug chasing ;)
The VNY VOR frequency is corrected in 1.1.1 but too late for the typos in the comment of Shafter Minter. This is funny because, normaly KMIT is my regular stop&go on my way to San Francisco. I have landed at Shafter Minter more often than Meadows field and I should know its identifier by heart!
    Enjoy the trip!

You say: The magenta line is not display on the G1000 MFD even if the full route is loaded. Because it would be too much helpful. - Yes, shure. This is ment for sim nerds only. Never mind all the rest of you. The nerds probably make buch trips by them selves. But who cares?

Hello Alfme, are you complaining because the magenta line doesn't appeared on the G1000? If so, please note that It's not under my control and I didn't remove it on purpose. Also, I suggest in the note to add Little Navmap for example or the FSPM VFR Map to improve/replace the VFR map.
