PLEASE NOTE: Helisika now has a native FS2024 version that you can download using the Main download link. This version will only work with FS2024!! Please use the Smaller download link for the FS2020 version.

The first six pictures are from the FS2024 version(v8.0), and the rest are from a slightly older FS2020 version(v6.0).

Other Small Download Button = FS2024 Version, But this version is designed for those who use the MSFS Map Enhancement mod. I have removed the large colored/textured paddock near Helisika in this version.

Helisika, Taupo Helicopter Charter is based on Helisika's real Heliport at Poronui Station, beneath the foothills of the Kaimanawa Forest Park.

This scenery was designed to be used with the default Microsoft Flight Simulator terrain mesh and with the New Zealand update(FS2020).

It's also designed to be used with my other scenery packages: Kaweka Forest Huts and Bush Strips, NZ and Mangamaire Saddle Hut and Bush Strip, NZ, both of which HeliSika flies to and from in real life. Please Note: You don't need my other two scenery packages if you own Topgunsi's Kaimanawa-Kaweka Part 2 Scenery Pack. My Otupua and Mangamaire Saddle Huts are included in his scenery pack, so having both in your community folder will cause conflicts.

All custom models(Hangars, ATV, H500 Dolly and H125 Dolly, Baggage Barrows, Shipping Container, Fuel Tank, Steel reinforced water containers, etc) were made by me(LucidKiwi) in Blender. I used CC0 textures and two CC0 baked models(Fir Tree bilboard and 3D Grass bilboards) from PolyHaven.com and CC0 textures from freepbr.com. I also used some of mircosoft's models(Cars, cones, people, foliage, etc).

How to install:

1) If you already have an older version of HELISIKA installed, please delete the old "lucidkiwi-nzhsh-helisika" folder from your Flight Simulator /Community/ folder first!!

2) Extract the "lucidkiwi-nzhsh-helisika" folder to your Flight Simulator "/Community/" folder.

3) Extact the "HelisikaGroundTexture" folder to your Flight Simulator "/Community/" folder.

How to find HELISIKA in Flight Simulator: Use ICAO code NZHSH in the search box.

Helisika's Heliport has a fictional Airport ICAO code assigned to it, so you can start your flight at it. There are Hot Start Helipads and Cold Start Parking spots. The Hot and Cold Start postions are mostly in the same spots, so if you're having trouble picking the right start type, click on any of the starting spots and choose set as departure, then use the drop down menu at the top to select the desired one, and take note of where the green dot is on the map to see where your start location is. Cold starts are called DOCK GA, and the Hot Starts are called Helipad.

There is also a fictional runway if you'd like to start there with a plane. It was mainly added so you can use Helisika with the addons that allow you to fly people and cargo around.
