Description
Provincetown is the "Birthplace of Amereican Liberty" so where better to fly like a bird? The airport is a delightful place to either begin or terminate your tour of Cape Cod. (see Chatham Muni )
The Race Point Light House is a beautiful sight and place to stay if you are in the area, and serves well as a marker for runway 7. (Custom made.) If you like it let me know and I will add the Lighthouse keeper's home and some other local lighthouses. I am trying to figure out how to start the rotaton and visibility when one is farther away. I know there is a way, but in the meantime you need to be within a couple of miles to start the rotation.
The runways and taxiways are as they are in MSFS but the terminal and ajoining hangar are custom made. I didn't do the interior at this time.
Dave's 3D People is a must for any of my projects.. Here is the link.

Oh Oh! what a beautiful part of the world this is. I loved doing the research into it. Lookout New Zealand and Canadian Rockies - this is amazing flying country. I would love to visit - but for now I thank Flight Simulator, and so will you. Definitely on the list.

Hay River Merlyn Carter Airport CYHY
Hay River, now renamed Merlyn Carter Airport, is a major regional link to Canada's North West Territories. It sits on the delta of the Hay River as it flows into the Great Slave Lake, which was an important waterway for trade. The air terminal is custom created.

Porty Hardy Airport CYZT
Port Hardy is one of the most important airports on Vancouver Island and is home to Wilderness Seaplane which continues to serve the region with a fleet of Gruman Goose'. It has an ILS with glideslope on Rwy 11 - dial in 109.5 for the localizer and glideslope. It has a new terminal building in which the roof resembles the cross section of a wing. I spent some wonderful days up in that area at Telegraph Cove - 40 miles south, but have been a fan of this wild and beautiful part of Canada for years. See the artwork of Emily Carr for instance. I wanted to incorportate some of the artwork of the coastal indigineous peoples -Kwakiutl First Nations -so I included them as highlighted in the terminal building. (dugout canoe and exterior facade)

If you want to visit the web site of my virtual airline use www.andrasmeridian.org - not .com. We moved and our aircraft painter did not yet find the time to update all the liveries. ;-)

It's 16 years ago that I visited this nice area at Indian summer time with my family.

Thanks for this beautiful scenery!. Just one question: checking the files I see you have two identically named KPVC_ModelLib.bgl files in two different folders. Wouldn't that be a problem?.
Thanks for the heads up. ?? It appears the work I did for the update got thown into a new ModelLib. Because it worked I didn't look into it. I understand your fear that two identical file names might crash the computer. Don't want that, so I will check it out.

I corrected it and put the new file on the site. You are a super sleuth. :)
I don't think it deserves a complete new version. thx

Thanks so much. You're probably right, as Columbo was my favorite TV series long time ago!.

Thank you for this great rendition of KPVC. Would you be willing to update the airport with an exclusion rectangle between the runway and the taxiway to remove the trees?

There's a version of KPVC in here with some work done to the airfield - https://flightsim.to/file/17656/a-guide-to-msfs-scenery-creation that you might find some use for.
Rather weirdly no one completed and uploaded it despite me telling them it was theirs to do whatever they want with.
And there's also a 3d model of a lighthouse beam in there with visibility for many miles. It might need slowing down though.

Thanks and OMG - hadn't seen that in your guide as I was cherry picking it. Yes I realize the light is rotating too fast and I will want to change so it can be seen for miles. I use the animation in Blender and put a line in the xml file.. (not a programmer)
Doing Sandy Neck and Chatham light next and will employ it there.
Thanks for your generous help. :)

Cool. I think you'll need to slow the beam in Blender itself. It's just a case of making the rotation animation a longer cycle.

Great job on this update! I would love to see more lighthouses of New England added. I've been to many, and it's disappointing when I fly around and they aren't there.

I am currently doing 8 more for Cape Cod. Thanks for your kind comment. If you have a favorite that is near an airport (not major) I might consider it.. Thanks for your kind comment.
