Description
Norway's Fjords Part 1 - Charter pilot
You slip into the role of a seaplane pilot in Norway. This is of course a seasonal job, because in the dark season of winter, there are hardly any tourists or anglers who want to be brought quickly to remote regions and the weather usually does not play along either. But it pays well, so you can live well for a year. In return, however, you are available around the clock for the switching center and almost daily from early morning to late evening on the road.
This is a flight adventure of medium difficulty and of course the nature of this country, which is always fascinating for me both in reality and in the simulator, is not neglected.
Specification:
- The mission consists of 6 legs and covers 261 NM.
- You will fly a Cessna Skyhawk G1000 Amphibian, which will be constantly loaded and unloaded and of course you will take off and land on water landing fields.
- The package is multilingual in the languages: English US, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese BR, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish. The basic language is German. The other languages are machine translated, so there may be errors in the translation. If you have a better translation, please send it to me.
- In between there is an English voice output (TTS).
- The GPS is usable but there is no flight route stored. Also there are no usual route descriptions. But the G1000 offers the possibility to enter the next destination airport. Use this kind of navigation.
- ATC is usable.
Known problems:
- The leg does not end at the destination airport.
The first thing to do is to return to the main menu after each leg and then start the next leg. The second problem is the water landing sites. They have only one parking position (apron 0) where you can end the leg. Take a screen shot of the water landing site in question on the world map where you can locate the parking position or use LittleNavmap. - After a crash, I have to start the leg from the beginning.
Since SU11, the simulator no longer saves progress in time intervals, but only after a waypoint has been flown over. To avoid having to start over after a crash landing, empty waypoints are inserted - about 10 NM before the next destination. After a crash, the flight is continued at the last waypoint flown over.
Always safe landings wishes,
Koschi

Norwegens Fjorde Teil 1 - Charterpilot
Koschi

I couldn't find a parking posiion, neither on the (closed) air strip, nor near the kai, in the world map or LittleNavmap. Is there any key or key combination to end the leg?
Thanks for help. Johann

First of all, I have to apologize for the long wait. I was on vacation.
Apart from that, I can't understand your problem. It works perfectly for me. Have you installed the right airplane and the addon https://flightsim.to/file/1931/norwegian-seaplaneports-docks-bases? Then you have to reload the database in LNM to see the new water landing sites there.
If it doesn't work, please contact me with more detailed information on how I can reproduce the error.

Was also ist zu tun!?

I need some clarification on leg 2, Does the aircraft engine need to be shut down at EN144 in order for the log to know you are there? And also can you clarify the procedure for ENSO? Are we supposed to land on the runway at ENSO or in the water alongside the airfield. What do you mean by "West of takeoff position 17?" There is only rwy 14 and 32. Thanks

Hello royaloak,
Please at the beginning, before you start, read once the left window with the description and the flight tips. There it says: "The flight is terminated when engine and battery are switched off." But this should have been the case before at EN089, otherwise Leg 2 to EN144 will not be released and the flight cannot be finished.
If a regular airfield is given as destination, then this airfield is also meant and not the water next to it.
With "west of takeoff position 17" not the airport ENSO is meant, but the water landing field EN144. However, this has a takeoff position 17. Something must have got mixed up? To be sure where to end the flight, landing images are shown in NAVLOG: At these places the flight is guaranteed to end when engine and battery are switched off.

All sorted!

Unable to fulfill the first stretch of this one because the chosen plane is not controllable on the Fyresdalsvatnet with wind at all. Please consider to change plane to one of Asobo's own. I flew the same distance/wind settings with the X Cub, and it works far better on water.
I look forward to enjoying this - seems to be some great bush flying using these trips! 5 stars for the trip, zero for the plane.

Thank you for this tip. It is indeed the case that the addon Cessna is difficult to maneuver, especially in crosswinds. This can be a challenge but for some sim pilots it can also be too much. However, this should not be a problem. I have just uploaded a second file describing how to replace the aircraft. The only important thing is to delete the SAVE files in the .\LocalState\MISSIONS\ACTIVITIES\ folder before you start the trip.
Have fun flying,

It is almost impossible to taxi and manouver in water because water rudder doesn't do anything, so couldn't finnish first leg.

It is true that the water rudder has no effect. Nevertheless, it is possible to maneuver with the rudder. Of course, such tight turns as on land are not possible. Pushback also works on the water and you can also maneuver a bit with the rudder.
