Description
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (IATA: AVP, ICAO: KAVP, FAA LID: AVP) is mostly in Pittston Township, Pennsylvania, and spans the border between Luzerne County and Lackawanna County. It is owned and operated by the two counties; it is about 7 miles from Scranton and 8 miles from Wilkes-Barre. It is the fifth largest airport in Pennsylvania by passenger count and calls itself "your gateway to Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Pocono Mountains".
The airport has no scheduled international service, but it has a location to process international flights, on the lower level near Gates 1 & 2, where the airport can isolate international passengers from domestic. With advance notice, the airport can process scheduled international flights or flights that have diverted to AVP.
Current Fixes:
- Includes now 2M DEM elevation data and updated aerial imagery from USGS
- Removed closed markings on Runway 10-28
- Added airport lighting
- Added ILS and G/S antennas
- Updated Terminal Area
- Fixed Runway Configurations
- Updated Taxiway Signs and Lights
- Removed Old Terminal Building (Heard Prison Mike was part of the demolition crew :-))
- Updated Taxiway configuration
Known Issues:
- Need to update around terminal area, like roads and parking
- Add parking spots to air carrier ramp, new GA ramp and helicopter landing pad

Cool project, it looks great in the sim and thank you not to be one of those lazy ones who release something and then just do not care causing issues to fellow simmers.

It looks very unique as area, I am working myself on a few fields in Alaska and a commercial project :) each of us adding to the sim is more fun for all!

very well done i normally call it Avoca since i live only 15 mins away form the airport and i always depart from there to go places and see if you can updated it to the 2021 revision of the terms and gates and the roads to make it more current if you got spare time so keep up the good work and stats of the airport

Just an FYI, I was away for the past month. Just started picking backup making sure my sceneries are SU5 compatible. Working on fixing the taxiways currently, should have an update published this weekend for KAVP. Then I will be finishing and releasing KABE hopefully in the next week. Then onto the request from @C0SM0S for KWBW.

You rock my friend! Its greatly appreciated. Should you want info, pictures or details, just let me know. I doubt there is going to be a ton of details online. It has a 1920s vintage main hanger building pretty much untouched by the passage of time. It can be seen well from street view level maps of the area. It can probably be substituted with standard scenery of any pre-WWII generic hanger, cause that's exactly what it is. When its done, maybe we can collaborate on The Office themed POI pack. It's very important people know where to visit Prison Mike or not to confuse Alfredo's and Alfredo's Pizza Cafe (spoiler alert: they both taste like hot garbage).

You're welcome! I plan on releasing KABE later this week sometime. Just finishing up the terminal area, along with taxiway signs and lights. I then do plan on coming back to KAVP, along with the request for KWBW.

Thank you for removing the closed markings on 10-28. Very nice work! Please consider using your talent on KWBW, a small GA airport which is also controlled by KAVP tower. Just FYI, as a resident of the area, Prison Mike would not have been a part of the old terminal demolition. Its much more likely that he and Toby's

Probably a bug in the game, I don't touch any of the ILS in my airport enhancements. I can attempt in future updates fixing that.
