Description
AYMO - Momote is an airport on Los Negros Island in the Admiralty Islands in Papua New Guinea that serves Manus Island. It is located about 180 nm north of the main island of New Guinea and sites 2 degrees south of the equator. Also, a great link to MKO for FSEconomy and other hubs throughout the region that other content creators have made.
This airport and island have an interesting history which I encourage you to have a read on the internet with origins during WW2.
Satellite imagery for this airport is very different between google and bing and there has been a significant upgrade occurring at the airport recently, however, I have tried to keep it to the time of the satellite imagery in Flight Simulator. Like the rest of my small unknown airports, they have received a little bit of creativity to provide a functional airport that is practical with close to standard assets and to also complement such third-party products such as FSEconomy and OnAir.
Current Charts show Runway 16/34 at 1810m x 45m at an elevation of 12feet AMSL. The airport is suitable for night operations if approved personal is onsite to active the runway lighting.

I plan to start developing custom 3d models to add to this and other airports down the track.
Also, please look up other Authors who have created scenery in Papua New Guinea. Select Countries, More Countries, and Select Search for Papua New Guinea. Great flying.

I'm curious as to what your plans are for the expansion? Are you waiting for bing to update its data because I highly doubt that's happening anytime soon.

No plans right now as I am a bit busy with work. And yes, disappointed that bing does not update their satellite data as often as others. Even with the Australia update, a lot of regional areas still have data that is a least 7 years old

Worked here (Manus) for years as a FIFO worker. Flew in and out on Fokker 100 aircraft but also saw 737's here. Love the place and the people! Pretty close to what it was like before the expansion started.
