FS2024 Section
V1.1 04 Dec 24
- Stage 1 conversion to FS2024. Fixes missing buildings, corrects terrain and textures.
- Makes the airport work fine and look fine.
- Look out for further fixes and updates as I discover cool things in the new SDK.
V 1.2 07 Dec 24
- Further refinement.
- Made the main terminal sign easier to read.
- Moved runway gables into new positions to match the changed terrain.
- Made other terrain fixes and reinstated missing linework.
- Repllaced some ground textures with betters ones I discovered in the new SDK.
- These textures will feature in all my work as they respond to airplane tires in cool ways.
V1.3 20 Dec 24
- Changed the terrain pathing references for the new terrain engine to read the surfaces correctly into FS2024.
- Replaced a missing windsock.
V1.4 26 Jan 25
- Replaced some popping objects with ones that FS2024 doesn't screw with the LOD values. No more popping!!
- Fixed up some terrain textures that only I would really notice.
- Added a security fence and gate around the huge car rental area.
- Forgot how awesome this scenery is!
V1.5 05 Dec 25
- Added the proper FS2024 Helicopter Parking for cold/dark starts. Look for Helicopter Parking xx
- Made other minor additions and texture work.
- Final check before SU4.
V1.6 28 Dec 25
- Replaces/substitutes many missing objects caused by SU4. Too many to list.
- Fixes lighting issues also caused by updates in SU4.
- All of my scenery is now being checked for this total mess they caused us Dev's.
- Adds FS2024 Helicopter cold and dark parking.
- Adds taxiway exit lighting from the main runways.
- Some other minor fixes and additions.
V2.0 21 Mar 26

- Reworked all of the taxi, runway, and exit lighting. Added much more.
- Reworked all the sloppy linework from my early days.
- Corrected taxi signs.
- Reworked all the AI pathing to match the reworked linework. The AI will now follow every line precisely and not take shortcuts.
Note: if you were one of the first 10 downloaders of V2.0, please redownload it. I introduced some taxi lights on the GA Apron that were sticking out of the ground. This is fixed now.
FS2020 Section
Note your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed, just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. This project makes extensive use of the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace. Please make sure you have it installed.

Yes, the 4 year wait for one of Australia's most requested airfields is finally over! Welcome to Port Hedland International Airport.
Featuring:
- A unique, new terminal.
- Over 1000 hand placed objects.
- Seamless texture transitions.
- Handplaced vegetation for miles and miles, nothing is random.
- Fully fenced, to keep out kangaroos.
- Detailed carparks, including quick drop off and pickup, short term and long term parking.
- Roads leading into and out of the airport, with signage and line work.
- Bus terminal with awaiting passengers.
- True to size car rental block.
- Reproduction of the insane, crazy, complicated linework on the main apron. Good luck following them!
- Worn and cracked aprons, with repairs, tire wear and grime.

- Lighted helipads, with a heli-start for you chopper pilots.
- Transportation hub and Service Station.
- The old decomissioned Control Tower area and buildings.

V 3.0 (16 Aug 24) BIG REBUILD!!! - NOTE THE DEPENDANCIES HAVE CHANGED
This is the latest airport in my collection of FIFO WA scenery that I am giving new life to before MSFS2024 comes out. When it hits the store all of my 2020 work will be of near payware quality and I can concentrate on the new SDK while you still have great scenery for the old version.
Although not a complete rebuild, it is almost one. The infrastructure and buildings were left as is but the following MANY improvements were made:
- Activated the Tower and Ground Controller Frequencies.
- Added signage to the main terminal "Port Hedland Inernational Airport".
- Completely redid the main aprons: tightening linework, adding custom ground textures and apron markings for a much more accurate look.
- Removed the static boarding stairs on the apron to make allowances for future GSX profiles.
- Redid some of the carpark work and improved it further.
- Redid ALL of the ground textures with custom multi-layered ground work, and removed some fake looking crap ones.
- Rebult all of the fencing and gates to close off the airside completely from the public.
- Completely redid the main runway, and widened the taxi-ways.
- Put the gables and taxi-signs in their proper positiions and corrected stuff that was wrong.
- Added a cold and dark chopper start under the helipads and added more helistarts starts that I never noticed should have been there.
- Redid textures in the nearby resorts and made them more true to life. Looks better from the air too.
- Checked FPS, all good.
This is a complex airport with many moving parts so to speak, so if you spot anything I missed please leave a comment.

Tip:
Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.
LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.
From the menu bar of LNM: Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.
Instructions:
Unzip and drop into your Community folder.
Enjoy.
