    GSX Profiles - WU16 GAYA AIRPORTS MDPP/MKJS/MUCL/MYEH/TTCP - Image 1

    Description

    There are  issues with jetways and parking positions at MDPP and MKJS. At MKJS it's on gates 1-6. Made a ticket at MSFS about it so we will see if somthing is done with it. On gates 1-6 the stop position is close to wall to make the jetway connect. A lot of clutter made vehicle placements difficult as well.

    MDPP has the worst jetway and ground markings i have ever seen in MSFS i think. Reported it on the MSFS forums as well because they have to redo this. Gate A4 jetway does not move at all. Gate 5 stop position is way back to allow for the jetway to connect. The only other jetway that connects is A7 and that stop position is also not realistic.

    I will redo these when they are updated. Heard they had heard about the parking size issue so hopefully they will fix all this as well.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Place the .INI files in : \Users\\AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS
    Remember to delete or disable other ini files starting with ttcp,myeh,mkjs,mucl,mdpp.

    If you wish copy the mkjs.py into the same folder.

    Thank you so much for the stars and feedback. Takes a while to do these so nice to recieve some recognition 😂 So to the py files. You can essentially do two things. Nr 1 i if you spawn in Sangster Intl on this one you will see when you choose another gate that they are separated into gate, parking ramp and in this one parking a, b etc. if you put the .py file into the gsx folder and hit restart couatl and do the same thing you will see the difference. The a,b,c etc stands are in one folder and i have put the terminal gates into two folders. Scenery developers are not always good at sorting this for us so sometimes gates to the main terminal are in gate and parking and its difficult to find the gate you want. Sorting them into folders also minimizes the time you have to use scrolling through the gsx menu to find gate 78 if they are all in the gate folder. The other thing you can do is set aircraft specific stop points. If you have a gate that has marking for A320 and B737 on the tarmac by default the stop point would be defined by what aircraft you edited that gate with. So if its 320 and you use 737 on that gate the front wheel would be somewhere between the A320 and B737 markings on the ground. You could using python code that gate so that it will set the stop point so that A320 stops on the 320 mark and 737 stops on the 737 mark and so on for all the aircraft that gate has markings for. I have not used this function yet but i’m learning. It is also a lot more work and would need a airport that has flawless jetway to tarmac marking modelling by the developer . That is not this one yet. So its adding to GSX functionality. Sorry about the long reply but it required a lot of text 😊👍

    I agree with you. These new airports from Asobo are a mess. Missing approach navdata, gates not suitable for planes bigger than Cessna 172 despite markings on the ground saying B747, useless jetways...

    Hi. Yeah. Shame they don't check this basic function before shipping. I know it's freeware and they look very nice. It's just frustrating for us airliner/GSX nuts :) Thanks for the feedback!

    NO CHANGES MADE TO MAIN FILE! ONLY THE NEW MSFS2024 FILE. MDPP-Some of the jetways still don't connect properly to all aircraft. Stop positions edited on some aircraft to allow them to dock. MKJS-A lot of the things that were wrong in 2020 is fixed so a lot better here in 2024. MUCL-If you spawn in here you have to manually reposition. I have edited the parking the opposite direction. Only 1 option for handling/catering so have the "auto-select when single operator" ticked in options. (Version 4.0.2) Also have the "automated reposition" option ticked. Also delete the old files. Some of these have new names.
