FS2024 Section

V1.1   03 Dec 24

• Stage 1 conversion to FS2024. Fixes missing buildings, corrects terrain and textures.
• Makes the airport work fine and look fine.
• Look out for further fixes and updates as I discover cool things in the new SDK.

V1.2   19 Dec 24

• Changed the terrain pathing references for the new terrain engine to read the surfaces correctly into FS2024.
• Cleared some room around the helipad.
• Made some other minor improvements.

V 2.0   26 Jan 25 FULL REBUILD FOR FS2024

• FINALLY figured out how to fix Western Australia red dirt and bush vegetation for the new sim.
• The default Microsoft textures and vegetation just sucked.
• Fully reworked all the ground textures and vegetation in and around the airport and the town so that everything blends in. 
• I was never happy with this conversion, so it was begging for more time and effort.

V2.1 05 Dec 25

• Added the proper FS2024 Helicopter Parking for cold/dark starts. Look for Helicopter Parking xx.
• Made other minor additions and texture work.
• Final check before SU4.

V2.2   28 Dec 25

• FS2024 version update.
• Replaces/substitutes many missing objects caused by SU4. Too many to list.
• Fixes lighting issues also caused by updates in SU4.
• All of my scenery is now being checked for this total mess they caused us Dev's.
• Adds FS2024 Helicopter cold and dark parking.

FS2020 Section

Note  your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed, just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. I also recommend to install the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace and used by many devs, including my work.

V 1.0

Bencubbin Airstrip in Western Australia serves the small town of Bencubbin. The town is in the north-eastern wheatbelt, 275 km north-east of Perth. Bencubbin Caravan Park is just adjacent to the airstrip and I have included this in the scenery.

Yes there are trees on the approach, it's a bush strip! Embrace the challenge.

V 3.0 (9 Aug 24)

This is the latest airport in my collection of WA scenery that I am giving new life to before MSFS2024 comes out. When it hits the store all of my work will be of near payware quality and  I can concentrate on the new SDK while you still have great scenery for the old version.

• Full overhaul, pretty much a complete rebuild.
• New multi-layered texuring.
• Added a cold and dark chopper start under the helipad (Parking 100).
• Removed the stupid lights and replaced them with realistic lighting.
• Removed old textures which made the runway unrealistic.
• Replaced the caravan and shadesail next to the runway with a donga and verandah.
• Replaced the water tower with something more realistic for the region.
• Added good'ol aussie cars.
• Squared everything up properly within the campsite and added new objects.
• Added textures to the nearby power station.
• Added people to the campsite and runway side near the aircraft parking.

V 3.1 (24 Aug 08)   FINAL UPDATE

• Completed the scenery around the power plant on the approach to Rwy 14 and blended it all together nicely. 
• This is the last update for this strip as it is now complete.

Tip:

Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.

LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.

From the menu bar of LNM:  Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.

Instructions:

Unzip and drop into your Community folder. Overwrite if already exists.
