Asobo Bonanza G36 Realism Mod - Image 1

    Description

This is a modification to the MSFS 2020 default Asobo Bonanza G36 aircraft and is primarily aimed at improving the aircraft flight model to make its overall performance more closely match the actual aircraft, providing a much closer experience to flying the real aircraft.  Multiple changes have been made to the flight model and engine parameters, and the aircraft weight and balance, which are detailed below. This aircraft is very stable and easy to fly and is an excellent trainer for learning to fly a complex single engine aircraft with retractible gear and a constant speed prop.

This mod is easily installed by simply unzipping the download file and copying the mge-asobo-aircraft-bonanza-g36 folder to the MSFS Community folder.  It will then replace the existing default Beechcraft Baron G58 aircraft in the MSFS aircraft selection screen, and will also continue to utilize all of the existing available Liveries.  To uninstall the mod and return to using the MSFS default aircraft, simply remove it from the Community folder.

Hi, can this be used with Blacksquare Bonanza A36?

It is a modification of the DEFAULT ASOBO G36 only. I have not tested it with the Blacksquare A36 but it will probably cause conflicts with that aircraft.

Hi MGouge, i'm using trutle beach vel. one flight controller, and your mod is behaving in strange way during take off and landing, usually when i pull back on the stick, it doesn't reflect on the plane at all.
Any idea where the problem might be ?

Any time you experience any strange behavior in MSFS the first thing to always suspect is a possible conflict with some other mod or livery...

First, switch to EXTERNAL view and see if the elevator moves when you pull/push the joystick. Then, try dragging this mod out of COMMUNITY to see if the problem occurs with the default aircraft. If so, check your joystick settings under CONTROLS OPTIONS.

Next, try temporarily dragging all other mods except this one out of the COMMUNITY folder to see if the problem goes away. If so, drag them back in one at a time to determine which is conflicting.

The G36 Improvement Mod is now a separate aircraft, so it should not affect the default aircraft or conflict with this mod, but I have not tested it.

TIP OF THE DAY: This aircraft has no aileron trim, so after reaching cruise altitude always switch tanks and allow the CG to become laterally rebalanced. Then, periodically switch tanks as needed when one wing starts to drop to maintain the lateral CG balance. When flying without a Copilot, always start the flight with 6 extra gallons of fuel in the right tank to compensate for the missing Copilot weight.

The max speeds for Landing Gear Extension (Vle) and for Approach Flaps are not marked on the airspeed gauge, they are listed on a placard on the left side wall. The max speed for both Landing Gear and Approach Flaps is 154 KIAS. For full flaps it is 124 KIAS as shown by the white arc on the airspeed gauge.

TIP OF THE DAY: During the climb, when above 3000 ft., periodically readjust the Mixture for peak FUEL FLOW, which indicates Max Power. During cruise, press the MFD softkey labeled "Lean" and adjust the Mixture for peak EGT, which indicates Best Economy Power.

TIP OF THE DAY: Vx (X on the G1000 speed tape) is the Max Angle of Climb Speed. In most aircraft this can also be used as the Final Approach speed, which is normally Vref (1.3 times stall speed) +5 knots.

TIP OF THE DAY: The Max Takeoff Weight (MTOW) of this aircraft has been increased from 3650 lbs. to 3800 lbs. as listed in the current specs on the manufacturer's website. This now allows it to carry a full passenger payload, plus a reasonable amount of fuel. While it has seating for up to 4 passengers, the two Rear PAX seats are intended for children, and are smaller than the front seats. To keep the CG within limits, don't put more than 100 lbs. in each rear seat. The Baggage compartment is the small area just behind the rear seats, and is limited to 70 lbs. max.

Now they have made the G 36 after all, thank you for that, I love your work very much.

Thanks... Since I have received multiple requests for this, and the previous "G36 Improvement Mod" is now a separate aircraft, which no longer modifies the MSFS default aircraft, I decided to go ahead and do a Realism Mod for it.
