    Description

    This is a modification to the MSFS 2020 default Asobo Icon A5 aircraft, primarily aimed at making the aircraft flight model and overall performance more closely match the actual aircraft, providing a much closer experience to flying the real aircraft.  Multiple changes have been made to the flight model parameters, and to the aircraft weight and balance, which are detailed in the included Change Log and README file.  This beautifully modelled, uniquely versatile aircraft is a lot of fun and very easy to fly, and learning to fly it properly utilizing the unique AOA panel gauge can be a highly satisfying experience, and will also make you a much better pilot.

    This mod is easily installed by simply unzipping and copying the mge-asobo-aircraft-icon folder to the MSFS Community folder.  It will then replace the existing default Icon A5 aircraft in the MSFS aircraft selection screen, and it will also continue to utilize all of the existing available Liveries.  To uninstall the mod and return to using the MSFS default aircraft, simply remove it from the Community folder.  A detailed description of all of the changes and improvements included in this mod, as well as a full PDF copy of the Icon A5 POH, can be found under the Documentation folder.

    1) Verify that the TAIL NUMBER has been changed to N715BA.
    2) Verify that the default TRIM setting for a Runway start is T/O.

    Sorry, just one more question. Do you know if this will conflict with WestcoastWilly's g3+ mod

    I have tested it for compatibility with the G3 mod, and it appears to be fully compatible... if they didn't modify any of the flight model files, it should not conflict. Install them both to see if they are compatible and if they do conflict, just remove one of them from the COMMUNITY folder to easily uninstall it.

    Good Sir, Should I still use this add on in the game? I noticed it had been a long time since an update and didn't know if that is because they game Icon no longer needs a mod, or just that the mod hasn't needed updating. thank you for your time.

    Asobo hasn't released any updates to this aircraft in a long time, so this mod is still current.

    If the screen stays off, it is probably caused by a conflict with some other mod. Try removing all other mods from the COMMUNITY folder to see if one of them is causing this conflict.

    I'm sorry
    because with my new honeyComb i have a button to turn off/on this screen i've forget it.
    So i m very happy with this ICON A5 !!!

    TIP OF THE DAY: Great news...! An outstanding new fully compatible mod is now available that adds support for the new G3X avionics to this aircraft, and many other excellent enhancements... I highly recommend it!

    How can I get the plane to stay moored to the jetty without it slowly going away?? Thank you.

    I don't know of any way to tie it to the dock like you would in the real world... If there is no wind, shutting the engine down should stop it from moving. You could also nose it up against the dock with the engine at idle and use the rudder to keep it in place. You can also try lowering the gear if the water is shallow enough for the wheels to touch the bottom. But, the easiest thing to do is just lower the gear and taxi up the boat ramp or onto the beach!

    No... This is a modification of the default ICON A5, and it will conflict with any other mod that changes the same default aircraft configuration files.

    I don't know what it is, but I had to manually paste the content into the icon folder, since then it's been working...


    Maybe an incompatibility with another mod.

    Do you think you can replace the screen with the G3X touch display?

    Or is there a way to use the screen from the icon a5 performance mode with your flight model? Cheers, great mod btw, I really enjoy it, but it would be grea to have the G3X as an option.
