Description
There are plenty of new airports being built by flattening mountain ridges in China for recent years, but it is not common around the world due to high costs and environmental impacts. Surbung Airport is one of the few exceptions. With runway length of around 1800m, it is marginally enough for a single aisle jetliner to land there but there is almost no ground handling facilities as per aerodrome documents. Refuelling is also not available so you need to prepare the fuel with the amount which is enough for your return flight. The only published instrument approach is VOR Runway 18, and it is pretty challenging to do a circling onto Runway 36 due to limited terrain clearances. The airport does not operates at night so lighting is limited to runway edges only. I've made a simple handcrafted terminal as well as the ATC tower for it.
The navdata and the scenery have been separated. Delete the file "navdata-vyfs.bgl" if you have subscribed 3rd party global navdata from vendors like Navigraph to prevent conflicts. For the common "double runway" issues for those airports not built-in with the sim, please refer to the corresponding user forum for workarounds.

Landed at VYFS yesterday, coming from Dhaka. Very nice and very special airport, and the landscape around is breathtaking. Thanks for making this airport!
I do have the double runway problem. I deleted the nav.bgl file and followed your Navigraph link and rebuilt the content.xml file, but to no avail What else can be done to get rid of the double runway issue?
