This is V1 of Edwards AFB, a joint colaboration between JKustom and myself, we hope you like it, many hours works have gone into creating this scenery.
There will be more updates to models and textures as time goes on. It has already had new runways, Custom painted taxiway lines throughout. JKustom has spent many hours at the base and also creating the hangars you see here.
Please enjoy exploring the base, i will be adding Edwards Aux North on as well soon
Edwards Air Force Base (AFB) (IATA: EDW, ICAO: KEDW, FAA LID: EDW) is a United States Air Force installation in California. Most of the base sits in Kern County, but its eastern end is in San Bernardino County and a southern arm is in Los Angeles County. The hub of the base is Edwards, California. The base was named after World War II USAAF veteran and test pilot Capt. Glen Edwards in 1950; prior to then the facility was named Muroc Air Force Base.
It is the home of the Air Force Test Center, Air Force Test Pilot School, and NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center. It is the Air Force Materiel Command center for conducting and supporting research and development of flight, as well as testing and evaluating aerospace systems from concept to combat. It also hosts many test activities conducted by America's commercial aerospace industry.
Notable occurrences at Edwards include Chuck Yeager's flight that broke the sound barrier in the Bell X-1, test flights of the North American X-15, the first landings of the Space Shuttle, and the 1986 around-the-world flight of the Rutan Voyager.

I tested out your 1.2 terrain fix. It does indeed fix the problem but creates a bigger one further down the runway. It did occur to me that you knew this and were just testing a partial fix before making a drastic amendment to such a large area covered by the base and the salt flat.
Now, thinking about the cause of this it seems that everything was fine until the amendment to the height of the airfield was adjusted to the official height. I was wondering if the issue was that Asobo has the airbase at a slightly different altitude than the official height that you used.
Now I am not a modeler so this is a thought rather than a suggestion but is a simpler fix an option by altering the height to the same as Asobo's one?

As you know I tried to get pics to you of the issue in 2024 but as you pointed out the messaging system is currently broken.
I can confirm what Steve says, that in 2024 the ramp runs from the main ARP across 05L and 05R, at least.
One other useful piece of information is that after landing on 05R and using the midway exit back towards the main ARP I became aware that there were rocks to the side of the taxiway that were floating. This says to me that the rocks have a different level to the rest of the airfield, at least at that point. It seems that the rocks maybe at the same height as the ramp at the runways end.
I hope that helps you find a simple answer to the problem. Anything else just ask.
