Kodiak Island Seaplane Bases
The default MSFS scenery includes only a couple seaplane bases on Kodiak Island and no cold and dark water gates. If you want to fly the Goose, Widgeon or another amphibious or float plane from one of these bases, you have to start with the plane running. This add-on adds water docks and amphibious gates to two existing seaplane bases and adds eight new seaplane bases on the western part of Kodiak Island. From those docks and gates, you'll be able to start cold and dark. New bases in blue.

- Deadman Bay (AK94 - new airport code) - new base, 3 amphibian gates, (57.133399063102004, -153.80508465649373)
- Frazer Lake (VZE) - new base, 1 bay gate, 1 amphibian gate, (57.29690287443702, -154.18498461446063)
- Karluk Lake (KKL) - new base, 1 dock gate, 1 amphibian gate, (57.3665499486136, -154.02171299870176)
- Moser Bay (KMY) - new base, 2 dock gates, (57.024959824161996, -154.14127959993763)

Version 1.1
- Alitak updated to clean up the shoreline and improve bay water color
- Deadman Bay updated with terraforming fixes and improving grass at all three beach spots
- Port Bailey (KPY) added on the east coast of Kodiak Island
- Trident Bay (T44) added on the east coast of Kodiak Island near Kodiak Airport
- All bases got more standardized version numbers.
Installation
- When you unzip the downloaded file, you will have a new folder containing all 10 bases and 1 library.
- If you are using Addons Linker, you can simply copy that folder into the place you store your addons.
- If you are manually installing addons, you need to copy all 10 base folders and 1 library folder nto your packages/community directory.
- The library 'mojavehigh-library-sp' should always be included as it has docks and other objects needed for the seaplane bases.
- IT IS RECOMMENDED that you delete all the old versions of seaplane base folders before you install the new Version 1.1
Flight Plan
There is an included flight plan which will take you from Alitak to Zachar Bay, passing by the other 6 bases. You can maintain 2000ft for the whole flight, following the valleys between the mountains. A couple notes: if you don't want to land at Deadman Bay, be sure to turn west early to avoid being surrounded by mountains with no easy way out; between Karluk Lake and Amook Bay, you'll have to climb to at least 2500ft to avoid the peaks. The flight is about 100nm and should take less than an hour depending on the plane you choose.

Hello Sir,
First, thanks for the Package. But i think u have an Issue in KZB. When KZB is enabeld, all Ground Service on all Airports over the World is gone, no Workers, no Pushback Tug's. When i disable KZB, everythings is fine again. Pls can un Check this?

Just snow without seaplane base at ALZ and AK81

If you are on live weather, AK81 is completely snowed in, the lake is frozen, you'll need wheels or skis to take off. Otherwise, I'd make sure the library mod is also installed as that contains some of the dock models.

My point is that I can't see the Seabase at all, not that the sea is frozen. Many thanks in advance.

AK81 has two "gates" - one in the middle of the bay and one near a very small dock. If all you are seeing is snow then it must be live weather (with snow) and the dock is just blending in with the snow.

For ALZ, there are two "gates" - one on land and one by a huge dock/building area. There are a few boats as well. Most of the buildings are default scenery that I built a dock around. If you are seeing only snow here, that's really weird. I would need more info and/or see it to understand what is happening.

SU9 - this addon currently disables all airport services ground vehicles on my system.

I did disable ground services for one of the bases, Karluk Lake, because it was weird to see pushback vehicles, fire trucks and ground support on a remote Alaskan island. :) Can you try removing that base from your community folder and see if you get all your services back?
I did see some discussion in forums that just one airport service update can change it for the whole sim.
In the next few days, I will be updating the whole add-on with two additional bases and some fixes to the other eight. I will remove airport services for Karluk Lake too.
One other thing: do you have the Orbx Alaska mesh installed?

disabling karluk lake only does not bring back the vehicles. negative on ORBX.

Zachar Bay also had airport services. I will be releasing a new version of all bases (and adding two more) today or tomorrow. I have removed all instances of airport services throughout, so that should fix it.
