    Description

    The Brocken, also named Blocksberg, is the highest peak of the Harz mountain range and the highest peak of Northern Germany. Although its elevation of 1,141 metres (3,743 ft) is below alpine dimensions, its microclimate is that of mountains of about 2,000 m (6,600 ft). The Brocken plays an important role in legends and is connected with witches and devils; Johann Wolfgang von Goethe took up the legends in his play "Faust". Today the Brocken is part of the Harz National Park. A narrow gauge steam railway, the Brocken Railway, takes visitors to the railway station at the top on 1,125 m (3,691 ft). The Brockenhaus is used as hotel and restaurant. It also has an observation deck, open to tourists.
    The scenery has many handmade objects, some terraforming has to be applied for fitting the buildings into the landscape. With version 2 the Brocken Railway is included and some towers and antennas in the Harz region are added (Torfhaus, Bocksberg, Ravensberg).
    The scenery is freeware. Credits to 3dsMax, Paint.net and ModelConverter X.

    Wirst du die Scenery noch für den 2024er updaten? - Die SU3 Scenery ist ein schlechter Witz im Gegensatz zu deinem Werk! ;D

    Superklasse modelliert!! Ein kleines Problem nur: Besteht die Möglichkeit, an den Standorten der Antennen/Sendetürme von Torfhaus, Ravensberg und Bocksberg Exklusionen für andere Szeneriepakete zu erstellen? Hier kommt es durch Letztere zu Konflikten (überlagerte, doppelte verschiedene Antennen).

    Just wondering, if there will be an update soon. The version 2.0 is not working anymore for me. I assume, it needs to be recompiled with the latest SDK.

    I am from Berlin. In real i was six or seven Times on se Brocken. In se Spiel i didnt made it to se Gipfel, jet. I will this nachholen and your mod will treat me, that it happen schneller.

    In 2018 on the way back from Leipzig to the UK i managed a fantastic trip from Wernigerode up the Brocken by steam train so I very much look forward to your version 2. Thank you in advance

    Hi ulric47, thanks for your credits! Just wait for version 2 of this scenery. I will add a train and hopefully some rails textures (not so easy with the actual SDK possibilities).

    Excellent realisation but why are there no railway lines /tracks at the Brocken station ? A locomotive would be an added bonus too!

    Scenery for the Brocken region in Germany. It is located in the north near Hannover with an altitude of 1414m. The original MSFS scenery is very poor and so I decided to make an Add-On. Buildings, railway and antennas are now realistic and also some landmarks in the neighborhood are present.
