    Description

    Bolzano (German: Bozen) is the capital city of the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy. With a population of 108,245, Bolzano is also by far the largest city in South Tyrol and the third largest in Tyrol. The greater metro area has about 250,000 inhabitants and is one of the urban centers within the Alps.[3]

    Bolzano is the seat of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where lectures and seminars are held in English, German, and Italian. The city is also home to the Italian Army's Alpini High Command (COMALP) and some of its combat and support units.

    In the 2014 version of the annual ranking of quality of life in Italian cities, Bolzano was ranked as the best

    Along with other Alpine towns in South Tyrol, Bolzano engages in the Alpine Town of the Year Association for the implementation of the Alpine Convention. The Convention aims to promote and achieve sustainable development in the Alpine Arc. Consequently, Bolzano was awarded Alpine Town of the Year 2009.

    Bolzano is considered a bridge between North and South due to the three spoken languages in South Tyrol (Italian, German, and Ladin) and the confluence of Italian and German-Austrian culture.

    For starters, thanks for this scenery, i've been practicing around the area for a while and I enjoyed it a lot!

    Does anyone else experience LOD spikes around the airport?

    Can someone confirm compatibility with the new update?

    Excellent work, but for a little issue (maybe dependent on Bing photogrammetry...): the Schlern mountain inimitable profile with its two towers (Santner and Euringer) rising in front of the Schlern group. Such a nice and recogniseable landscape (at least, it used to be on every Loaker chocolate bar....)

    Thanks for your comment! Yes, I know the Schlern and indeed its a wonderful mountain face. I did not touch the landscape however, so its gonna be that way until asobo will update their height maps!
    In the meantime I can recommend the Italy DEM mod, it is awesome in improving the scenery, however, a little glitchy still as its not the native ground data.

    Asobo announced a big SDK update along the upcoming England DLC. Hopefully things will get easier then, because at the moment it is a pain. There is a python/blender script that the awesome Thalixte released, however, it takes 20 hours to compile per scenery and even then its bugged 3 out of 4 times. Its really is a struggle at the moment :) thanks for your comment.

    Hello! The castle hangs in the air. https://abload.de/img/5etkiq.jpg And the trees don't look pretty,,like stones. Is it possible to leave only buildings and put them on the ground? All trees must be cut from the scene. The default trees look great! And then you will be super!

    Thanks for your comment! Yeah I agree. I dont include any trees in my custom sceneries, however, there is no way of avoiding with the photogrammetry importer tool.
    Maybe I will do a custom version of the castle in the future!

    Don't you process the scenery in Blender? Trees can be easily cut there.

    As I said, i process all of my custom sceneries in blender. However, this is an export with the earth2msfs tool, which provides 'game ready' files, .gtlf, .bin and of course the .dds... That's the problem. I will do this castle as a custom project, as soon, as I finished my current one, though!
