Description
Note: Previous Water exclusions have failed to function starting with the release of SU12 (March 2023); this version needs an update to properly function with World Update XIII.
This mod applies exclusion polygons to areas covered in water in order to uncover them. It also removes erroneously placed trees around water areas. No scenery objects were added.
This mod fixes the following issues to the default scenery located in the Florida Keys area of Florida, USA. If you fly out of KEYW, this is for you. My apologies as the Microsoft/Asobo stock default coverage in this area is not as good as others. I do not use other freeware or payware in the area, so I don't know if this conflicts with other third party mods.
V1.1 Release Notes:
- Updated areas around Florida Keys Marathon Intl
- Seven Mile bridge is uncovered
- General fixes around Key West
V1.0 Release notes, fixes the following areas:
- Corrects issue of various roads and bridges appearing underwater throughout. This was not as easy to do, as there are some 3d/auto-gen bridges that have a mind of their own.
- Focuses primarily on Key West, uncovering marinas, docks/pontoons, boats/ships
- Basically everywhere you see RED in the screenshot, I uncovered water or removed vegetation

Your project is awesome and helps a lot! Can you please have a look to the "7-Mile-Bridge", especially the "old"-one that is completely missing under water! You can only see a small part on pidgeon-key... Thank you!

I experimented with uncovering that old bridge recently. It’s not pretty given the limitations of the satellite imagery; I’m trying to decide if I should even leave it that way or not.

Awesome idea! If you’re looking for another site that needs this kind of love, Mobile Bay, Alabama and the surrounding areas are prime for this type of project.

Great job fixing the bridges. If only the cars would drive on the bridges and not under them, but there is only so much you can do. I don't know, maybe they were manatees.

Worldwide Water Fix (WIP)
This add-on is a work-in-progress project for MSFS 2024 focusing on correcting water elevation issues encountered globally. The developer addresses problems as they are discovered during flights rather than systematically reviewing every location. Users can expect ongoing updates to enhance water accuracy throughout the simulators lifespan.
