Description
Close to Los Angeles, Mount Wilson observatory is probably the most historical place for astronomy,
with the discoveries of Edwin Hubble on the Hooker 100 inch telescope.
It also hosts the Hale 60 inch telescope, the Chara interferometry network, the solar towers , and many more instruments...
Check the documentation to learn more about Mount Wilson history.
Optional libraries :
Download and install the “Dave’s 3D People Library” in your community folder.
Installation :
For MSFS2024 version 2 folders are provided. Both folders are required active for the scenery to work properly.
Also, one folder has the same name as your previous MSFS2020 version. But the content is different.
Compatibility :
In case of using mods like "We Love VFR", you may get overlapping antenas.
Try to increase mount wilson scenery to a higher priority, as explained in the provided procedure.

Indeed, for the MSFS2024, both provided folders are required so that the scenery works properly. If you already had the MSFS2020 version, note that 1 folder has same name, but in fact the content of it is different if you use MSFS2020 version or MSFS2024 version.
I noticed that the conversion technique i use, and also published, is also used by other developpers now. Several folders are necessary for 1 scenery, at least 2 per scenery. So you may notice the same on other mods.

Doesn't work for me, but all the other content folders in my community folder work, the .json files are in the root folder, and I have downloaded and installed daves 3d people library, nothing will work. I noticed there is a layout.json file and a layout.json.bak file which I haven't scene before, but I have no idea why it's not working
over 4 years ago
Well, i am sorry to hear that. If you want help maybe you can explain in PM what you mean by "doesnt" work. Not showing up ? Crashing ?
I tested again myself, see no issue.
json.bak file is normal, but you can delete it if you like to try...

Wow, amazingly detailed mod! Thank you! Even some interiors. I’ve visited Mount Wilson and used to live within sight of the antennas and domes up there (near Pasadena, CA). Visible when it wasn’t very smoggy anyway (I lived there in the 80s). Your other observatories look great too. I’ve installed them all and started an astronomy tour. For those unfamiliar with Mt. Wilson, the PDF here is a good start as is this video. https://youtu.be/eJXAFIS7gNY
