Description
Robin DR400-180 Régent D-EAGZ
(the registration can be changed)
The DR400-180 Régent is a modification of the standard DR400 cadet of Asobo. The model/frame is the same but very similar to the original Regent of 1979.
The performance, weight&balance, tank capacity, the outside livery, the cockpit textures and a few instruments were modified.
It's a standalone aircraft and don't change the standard DR400 Cadet of Asobo
Modifications (similar to the real DR400, D-EAGZ)
Engine
Lycoming O-360 A3A 180HP
Fuel consumption
round about 35l/h
Propeller
diameter and pitch angle of the original plane
Weight&Balance
Empty: 1366 lbs / 620 kg
Maximum take off weight: 2425 lbs / 1100 kg
Fuel tank capacity
Main/Rear tank: 110 liters
Left tank: 40 liters
Right tank: 40 liters
Auxillary tank: 50 litres
Total: 240 liters
Due to the missing of a suitable selector switch, there is only one tank. So don't be surprised wenn you start with 50% fuel, that are 120 Liters ;-)
About the original plane
The original plane has its home on the gliding airfield Zellhausen (scenery on flightsim.to) in Germany and is often seen in EDFC Aschaffenburg (scenery on flightsim.to) for training or NVFR. The D-EAGZ is used mainly as a touring and tow plane. Until 2018 the DR400 was stationed in bolzano/italy.
Installation: Drag and drop the folder "DR400-180 Regent D-EAGZ V1.4.1" into your community Folder
Have fun!

Thank you very much for the excellent airplane you created/made/modified. It's the airplane I fly most often at my flying club.
https://www.gvmc.ch/index.php/fr/
It's a very useful tool in my preparation for the flights I'm going to do, as happened today on my annual control flight. I would very much like to be able to use it in MSFS 2024 and I can't. My question is: would you be willing to adapt it for MSFS 2024? How much would I have to pay? Thank you in advance. Cristiano

Is it possible for a repaint kit?
I had a share in a blue DR400 Regent and want to replicate my flight to the South of France and it would be great to have the blue livery and registration. The panel is similar to the one I had and it is preferable to fly this version.
Thanks for putting this version on MSFS.

Hello. My engine will no longer start with my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke Switch. So far I have never had any problems with this plane. Oddly enough, this is not the case with the Asobo DR400 and here the engine can be started as usual. What could be the problem? Thanks!

I tested it again today. It's very strange...!
As I said, I can no longer start the engine with my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke magnetos start switch. So far this has always worked without any problems. The Start position on the Alpha Yoke is always assigned to the Engine Start command in the simulator. When I turn the Alpha magnetos switch to start, the red button on the fuel selector goes down, but the engine still won't start (only starter sound). But when I press the red start button with the mouse in the cockpit, the engine starts!
With the Asobo DR400, the engine start still works normally via the Alpha Yoke magnetos switch in the Start position... I dont need to press the red button.
There is another DR400 (Tow Plane) on flightsim.to, the engine cannot be started via the Alpha Yoke either. But with the mouse on the red start button, the engine starts.
I have always started all my DR400 only via the Alpha Yoke magnetos start switch. But since a few days this only works with the original Asobo DR400.

Hey, i will look about this. It could be that it's a problem with the new updates.
Best regards

Is there a possibility, that it isn´t compatible anyomore with the latest Sim-Version? I can´t see it anymore in the planes section

Hey, I just tried it. There are no problems. I see it in the planes section and it works fine in the sim. Are you running a bete or something? (I use the current sim version 1.30.12.0)
Best regards,
Alex

Really nice aircraft to fly. Might be my new favorite!
Are there any updates planned, or any chance we could get a GNS530 in the panel?

Hey thank you! But, no there are no updates coming. And it's only a mod, a change in the instrument panel is a major change i can't manage...
Best regards!

Great plane! I really like the European planes best. Seen one in real live at EDVH Hodenhagen, a brand new DR401 155.
A hint for all who believe it does not work anymore: Check your key and button settings. The plane does not have a Fuel Cutoff, but "reacts" to a keypress/button/switch.
