Bundeswehr "Hungriger Wolf" livery for the Bell UH-1H. Have fun!
English: From 1980, the 6th Army Aviation Regiment belonged to the 6th Panzergrenadier Division. Army aviators lived and worked at the Hungriger Wolf airfield for a total of 44 years, until the end came in 2003. The Waldersee barracks were their home.
The coat of arms of the 6th Army Aviation Regiment shows an owl with a magnifying glass. This is intended to symbolize the regiment's excellent recognition skills, but also its flying wisdom.
Deutsch: Das Heeresfliegerregiment 6 gehörte ab 1980 zur 6. Panzergrenadierdivision. Insgesamt über 44 Jahren lebten und arbeiteten Heeresflieger auf dem Flugplatz Hungriger Wolf, bis im Jahre 2003 das Aus kam. Die Waldersee-Kaserne war ihre Heimat.
Das Wappen des Heeresfliegerregiments 6 zeigt eine Eule mit Lupe. Das soll die hervorragenden Erkennungsfähigkeiten, aber auch die fliegerische Weisheit des Regiments symbolisieren.
