Buck Lake Retreat (PZ09) Idaho with land and lake runways

Located about six miles WSW of Indian Creek USFS (S81) and seven miles NE from Lake Mountain (PZ11)

Nestled below the Big Baldy ridge, the grass runway is at an elevation of 8,400' and the 800' long dirt strip is situated on the North side of Buck Lake. There is no go-around so make sure you have a stable approach before commiting to land.

The Buck Lake retreat is very popular with the more adventurous owners of small float and amphibian planes and the latest X-Cub float plane was tested here before it was launched. The natural infinity pool visual effect of the lake has ensured visitors keep returning year after year.
