    V2.5 WARNING: THE SCREENSHOTS ABOVE ARE NOT ACCURATE

    I have happily removed my white house and wash monument models due to good quality default replacements.

    However, I was forced to delete my US Capitol model because the new crappy default model is not deletable in the sdk. I am furious about this because it renders hours and hours and hours of hard work completely useless.

    A lot of people were having problems getting the scenery to load in; this patch should fix those issues.

    I have to say that I have had no problems with this scenery at all. All of the buildings are in the scenery, the Capitol and White House are both there. Like someone posted previously, you have to "purchase" the World Update packages in the Marketplace for free and then everything should appear properly. The author of this scenery has done a really amazing job and this is one of my favorite freeware scenery add ons. I hope that he will continue to improve it, though I know he is involved with several other scenery projects. It would be nice if he could partner with kjpwv to add the DC Stadiums to have all of the downtown landmarks in one file or add some of the other landmark buildings to the scenery but pretty much all of the major ones are included. He really did do a great job with this scenery and it really makes Washington DC come to life.

    I think what may have happened here is the author had an exclusion to remove the default autogen representation of the capitol with his scenery. When he removed the White House, Washington Monument and Capitol bldg. with the latest release (2.5), the exclusion was not removed for the Capitol, therefore the new MS Capitol does not show up. Hopefully a fix for this will be forthcoming soon.

    Updated to V2.5 after latest MSFS200 Patches (all up to date) but now with this 2.5 version US Capitol building is a flat picture of capital building looks like a photo on the lawn no 3D structure... all other buildings and landmarks look ok

    I have replaced version 2.2 under the community folder with version 2.5. I also now have no Monument, no White House and no Capitol.

    I am not seeing the Capitol bldg. with this update; I understand you removed your model but shouldn't the Asobo model be there?

    Thank you for working to update your scenery package for Washington DC. I love the scenery that you created for the mall and your attention to detail in the area. It really makes the nations capitol come alive and looks a lot more realistic than the default scenery in the program. I will be looking forward to your update for Washington DC when it is ready. Thank you again for creating this beautiful scenery for the community.

    I was wondering if you will update this scenery pack now that Asobo/Microsoft has included some of the Washington DC landmarks in the default scenery. The reason I am asking is because I am getting double images with some of the default buildings (White House, Capitol Building and Washington Monument) bleeding through into the buildings in your scenery, this is particularly noticeable with the Washington Monument where I have two monoliths next to each other. Maybe you could maybe add the Eisenhower Office Building where the Vice President has his offices next to the White House as well. I think that is probably the only major building around the mall that you missed when you created this beautiful scenery. Hopefully you can update it to correct the issues that have appeared since the last World Update soon.

    I am currently working on it- I will remove my Washington monument and white house models because I prefer the asobo ones, but I am quite disappointed by their capitol model and want to replace it with my own. The problem is there doesn't seem to be any way for me to remove a built-in custom scenery object so I'm trying to find a way to do that. I appreciate the patience and hopefully I'll have an update out soon.

    That's totally fine- to each their own. I tried to land my a5 in the pool but I am not nearly a good enough pilot to pull it off. I'm glad you appreciate my work and I suggest you follow me to see more of it as it comes out!

    This update makes this scenery compatible with the latest world update: My Washington Monument and White House have been removed because of new, better default models. I wanted to replace the new crappy US Capitol default model with my own but it appears that that functionality is not built in to the sdk. It's really frustrating for me because I put so much time and effort into that- to just see it wasted makes me want to cry. Microsoft/Asobo, if you see this, either use my scenery as default or let us delete your default custom buildings. I know I'm not the only developer who feels this way.
