    Description

    The default red line ground markings are very intense.
    This is a small modification of the default texture files. Installing it in the Community folder affects red painted lines everywhere in the world.
    This addon does not overwrite or alter default files when installed in the Community folder, but the included texture file will be prioritised when loading.

    This is probably unsupported by the SDK, but it seems to work as of December 2020.
    It may stop working at any time, please don't yell at me if it does.
    Note that the texture file used is made by Asobo and all rights belong to them. I've only reduced the color saturation of the red stripe.

    To install drop the "wombiiactual - fadedredlines" folder in the community folder.

    Yes, you have my permission, but as I mention in the description, this is only a small modification of the default texture made by Asobo.

    Thanks for this, very much needed. Wanna take a crack at more orange/yellow taxiway lines instead of the bright yellow default?

    Thank you for the feedback and request. At the moment I don't really have time to do that part too, as it requires color matching the opaque paint stripe in this file with the transparent paint markings for hold short and other yellow marking, and every change requires a sim restart to test the effect. If you or anyone else want to experiment: the included texture file holds the standard yellow/white/red stripes for normal paint lines and hatched areas. It's saved as color+alpha BC7 dds (the stripes must remain at 100% opacity in the file). Another file called ASO_TAXIWAY_MARKS can be found in the sim files which contain special markings. This could be edited and added to this package.

    Thanks for the tip. It looks like Zinertek just released an airport texture package that darkens the yellow too. Runway markings look more realistic as well.

    Search under Windsock and or Taxiway Lines. You may like the ones I made.
