    Description

    V1.0(MSFS2024) - Complete re-do of the airfield using MSFS2024 SDK tool.  Includes new blender model, new texture and new library assets throughout.  This is not compatible with MSFS2020.

    Using MSFS2024: Install fd-airport-l08-borrego-springs_MSFS2024

    V2.0(MSFS2020) - Made compatible with MSFS2024.  Added foliage details in the immediate area of the field.  Download and install for MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.

    V1.1(MSFS2020) - Added details

    V1.0.1(MSFS2020) - Corrected textures.  Corrected taxiway signs.  Corrected restaurant model.  Corrected windsock placement.  Added runway edge lights.

    Scenery package for Berrego Valley airport in Borrego Springs CA.  Scenery includes handcrafted blender model of the Propeller Cafe,utilizing PBR materials.  Also includes new ground textures, revised taxiway signs, various library assets throughout, parimeter fencing and electrical poles along Palm Canyon Drive.

    This is a great airport to use as a jumping off point to explore the California low desert area between the Pacific coast and the Saltan Sea, with Palm Springs just to the north.

    I love this little airstrip. I've had lunch at The Propeller a couple times back when my grandparents lived in Salton City. Good job getting everything accurate!

    Some minor notes for any updates:

    -There are a number of misplaced taxi-lights along taxiway Bravo. You can actually see them in the screenshots.

    -Adding a few static GA aircraft would liven the place up a bit. While not a very busy airstrip during the week, on weekends with nice weather there are usually a decent number of planes coming and going from the GA lots.

    Good suggestions, thanks. Replacing taxiway lights is a major chore, you simply cannot edit them, you have to delete the existing taxiways, recreate them from scratch w/out taxi lights, then handplace "light rows". I can't remember, but I might have already done step 1... if so, step 2 is not too time consuming.

    BTW: Would You maybe like to think about a Co-Operation with vbazillio? Possible benefit -or conflict: Both Sceneries are well designed. You could feed each other with your experience. From the other side: Maybe at the end nobody would win a race standallone for most fans but there could be confusion about that..
