    Aviano Air Base (IATA: AVB, ICAO: LIPA) (Italian: Base aerea di Aviano) is a base in northeastern Italy, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. It is located in the Aviano municipality, at the foot of the Carnic Pre-Alps or Southern Carnic Alps, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Pordenone.

    The Italian Air Force has ownership, and administrative and military control of the base. It hosts the U.S. Air Force's 31st Fighter Wing and is believed to host nuclear weapons.

    The 31st Fighter Wing is the only U.S. fighter wing south of the Alps. This strategic location makes the wing critical to operations in NATO's southern region.[5] The 31st Fighter Wing maintains two F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter squadrons, the 555th Fighter Squadron and the 510th Fighter Squadron, allowing the wing to conduct offensive and defensive combat air operations.

    Hi Nick , thank you very much for the Aviano scenery. Since a few days I've the problem, that the ILS frequencies of LIPA and some other addons suddenly no longer appear on the VFR map and are also not recognized by the aircraft. Are you familiar with this phenomenon?

    I have not heard of this happening, the ils at Aviano is the sim default, I did not change the ils at all here

    Hi, since it's been labelled as FS2024 compatible, I would like to point out the lack of blending of the runway textures with the tarmac below. In 2020 everything looks fine.

    It's perfect! But I have a problem. I do not see the textures of the Globemaster, and yet I have all the dependencies.

    Great scenery, thank you! However I do not see any F-16 although I own the SC Design payware. It is from Just Flight. Also no F-15 and F-35. The free Lakenheath airbase is not available anymore so I bought the payware from the same author. I guess this does not help.

    i think they must be named differently, i will be adding my own models to the scenery so they will show up without any additional packages

    i have added my custom Typhoons and F-16 model along with an F15 model too, they are all built into the package so no longer rely on others scenery
