    EFET - Enontekiö - Image 1

    Description

    Located in Finnish Lapland, Enontekiö airport - EFET was built in 1980. The runway was lenghtened to 2km in 1992. Finavia sold the airport to the Enontekiö municipality in 2020. Today the flights are mainly international charter flights and no scheduled domestic flights. Enontekiö can handle Boeing 737 size aircrafts. The old hangar has been converted to the main passenger terminal.

    This scenery includes very old material I had from older scenery and I added some new buildings using some photos as a reference. I hope I'd get a possibility and permission to update the airport with better textures. Anyhow, the scenery includes correct lighting, ILS, PAPI, signs.

    Includes also a more detailed ortho image for the airport area.

    INSTALLATION
    * Remove other EFET/Enontekiö sceneries you might have installed.
    * Copy finland-efet-2022 folder to your Community folder.

    IMPORTANT
    * I sincerely recommend (it's almost required) DEM for Finland - AP heightmaps by Morko
     
      Morko's heightmap is by far the best model of the EFET terrain. Enontekiö is located in a beautiful area of Lapland and is Finland's highest airport by elevation.
    * If you don't have Navigraph subscription for charts you can get official Finland AIP charts from here: Finland AIP

    KNOWN ISSUES
    The snow modelling is not very realistic at the moment in the FS2020, the winter scene does not look very good but for time being that's what we have.

    Thank you for updating your aswome freeware sceneries :) i wish you did more for Finland on FS20 and FS24 :) it's bringing to life great areas.

    For myself I removed the aerial photo for a better blending into the default scenery.

    Everything is very nicely done, but the CGL file (650Mb!) is definitely too large for so few objects.
