Cessna 152 Banner Tow for Neofly
It is now time to give the world a bit of advirtisement !
Here is a plane mod over Asobo's c152 that adds a new plane to your hangar.
Basic operations :
- The plane is an unmodified Cessna 152 : you can use your prefered procedures of operations
- The banner can be manually deployed using the water-rudder shortcut : CTRL+W if unmodified. Of course, you can bind it to your hotas, button-box...
- It can be retracted using the same shortcut (animation can take a few seconds)
Advanced operations :
Even though it is not mandatory, this plane has been made for Neofly and you will find a much better experience flying it through advertisement missions :
- Choose your advertisement mission in Neofly, select the Cessna 152 banner tow both in Neofly and MSFS and start the mission
- Takeoff from your airport and wait for the dispatch message giving you the order to get back to the runway
- Find the banner location on the ground (next to the Neofly truck)
- Fly 3m above the rope and hook it up ! the banner will deploy automatically
- Follow the waypoints, and turn as much as you like between waypoints 1 and 2
- Don't forget to "drop" the banner before landing (water-rudder shortcut : CTRL+W)
Liveries
The banner can be customised through plane liveries (along with the plane itself that uses the same filenames as the Asobo c152)

About this work
3D model has been made with blender from the export of C152 Asobo's original model.
All the external textures and animations had to be redone and match the original definitions.
A huge thanks to jonx's developpement series that helped a LOT.
I hope you'll enjoy this plane and encourage you to fly it through the Neofly missions : the sound of the rope when you successfully hook the banner is a must ;)

Is there a trick to controlling the radios? They b appear operative, but I can’t dial in a frequency or swap frequency.

OMG THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!! I live on a beach near Pensacola Florida and we always see these cessna aircraft flying banners on the beach, except they are 172s but I was able to find a route for one of them and now I can pretend I am one of them. Thank you guys so much!

is custom banner pickup not possible outside of neofly? I added the SimObject to my scenery and it shows up but I tried picking up three times from both directions using the proper aircraft, was definitely low enough but failed to see the banner behind me afterwards

It's only possible with the help of an external program.
Neofly is the only one to do that currentyly

Having trouble replacing plane livery. Wanting to use a basic version similar to default but in blue not red. I have it on the default c152, but cant seem to get it to work on this one. The decals file just isn't changing anything

Regarding the banner options (CTRL+W). Om my side it doesn´t show up.
I have booth folder in the community (bagolu-c152-neoflybannertow + bagolu-c152-neoflybannertow-rename-me).
I can see that i´m the only one to ask, so for sure something i´m missing.

Are you flying the blue Cessna 152 banner tow (and not the usual textron 152) ?
If you can see the plane in the hangar (without banner at this place) it should be OK.
The banner template should add a new livery to the plane (not a very interesting one)
I hope you'll find the problem
