Once upon a time this was a repair of Shetland's terrain with fairly modest tweaks to its airports to make them work around it. No more. Those repairs are now done by Asobo themselves. 

This is now an upgrade of every single freaking airport on Shetland except Out Skerries.

Sumburgh has also been redone compared to the half arsed previous one and is now a standalone download, though of course the WU one is far better until I get around to it - https://flightsim.to/file/7514/egpb-sumburgh-airport-shetland-upgrade

With the more piddly airfields this has mainly been about getting rid of inappropriate runways and ground services but also adding a few bits and bobs to increase the immersion as well. 

What's been done - 

Scatsta EGPM - All ground textures gone. Fencing and lighting added. Buildings replaced. Ground markings redone. Still a bit more to do but largely transformed.

I can't say it actually resembles the real Scatsta all that much but it does look more like a real airport, even if the real one is now a goner. 

Tingwall EGET - A full prettification similar to the above. 

Unst EGPW - New runway and taxi system. New ground textures. All buildings replaced. 

Whalsay EGEH - New dirt runway to get rid of the daffy tarmac one one. New taxi system with ground services and fuel bay removed. Fenced. A few other bits of tinsel. 

Foula EGZR - Runway replacement to get rid of the tarmac one. Custom buildings. A few other bits of detail. Slightly better elevations. 

Fair Isle EGEF - New runway and taxi system to remove the fuel bay. Apron removed. Ground services removed. Offensive plane satellite photo burn ins removed from the ground. Fenced. Custom terminal. Better ground markings. 

Fetlar FEA - A new grimier runway and a new taxi system again to kill off ground crews and fuel bays. Flying up there sure seems thirsty. 

Scenery File - A separate scenery file that covers the entire area. 

There were still a handful of suspect bits that needed terraforming so that's been done. Most of the docks have been filled with boats. Trees stripped from the islands. A few lighthouses are installed. 

This now has four helipads dotted around. 

EGH9 - Lerwick Emergency Helipad - in the center of town on a sports field for air ambulances and coast guard. The locals hate it. 

EGS8 - Muckle Flugga Helipad. With its very own hand made island. 

EGZ6 - North Shetland Ship Helipad. A few miles north of the islands. 

EGF3 - Fair Isle Heli Platform. A basic helipad by the southern lighthouse. 

I took a wee holiday here last year. The whole joint is well worth a visit.

The undoubted highlight was Out Skerries. I'll bet I'm the only person you virtually know who's been there. 

Foula was denied me. The Tingwall people said the hangar was broken, yet strangely enough the plane emerged ten minutes later when I was waiting for a bus like a deadbeat.

Not sure if I can be arsed to go all that way again to wait in Tingwall car park all week for the fog to clear to try again, but it is a nice car park.

A lot has changed so pasting the new ones into these could be fatal to you or your loved ones. 

Lots of tweaks as this is now ancient. Improved airfields. Moving boats added. More tree squashing as I missed a few. Better elevations in certain sites. Adds a separate scenery file for Orbx Great Britain North users so erase the main scenery file in the download and replace it with the one in the Orbx named zip file. 

Still more stuff to do for next time. Scatsta needs custom buildings and moving the ground markings, can't be bothered for now, better lighthouses and it needs more boat traffic, but this'll do for now.
