This scenery pack builds on the excellent work done by Aviationeh with his East Midlands Airport scenery upgrade.

EGNX Scenery Installation Guide

Pre-requisites:-

To get the most out of my scenery upgrade please also download and install into the Community folder the following:-

• East Midlands Airport – EGNX
• SDR Scenery Pack
• Dave's Crooked Library 
• Antonov AN-225 "Mriya"
  • Please note I am getting reports this version of the AN-225 doesn’t show up in my scenery any longer. I’m afraid is out of my control, sorry!

Download the Nottingham East Midlands Airport – EGNX Vx.x scenery file. To keep this instruction generic I’ve referenced it as Vx.x

The zip file contains two folders:

1.       ema-egnx-noplanes

2.       egnx-east-midlands-parking

Folder 1 is the scenery file with the control tower, improved buildings etc. Folder 2 is the update that corrects the Asobo airport parking mess which meant that traffic from 3rd party traffic apps such as FSLTL were not appearing. Please note, I have only tested with FSLTL and I know this works. I have no reason to suspect other 3rd party traffic apps don’t work but I have not tested them myself.

V3.5

An incremental update to correct for missing scenery following the latest updates. These include:

• The missing buildings at the back of RVL Aviation (Thanks to Ronniegarrod for the feedback)
• The fire training aircraft at the pad at the airfield’s northern perimeter
• The missing tanks next to the fire training aircraft

In addition to the above, as requested by Paul777 I have brought in ‘Tony’ and ‘Winnie’ the two wind turbines in the Spondon area of Derby.

V3.0

Thanks to everyone who took the time to feedback and help out with the lack of FSLTL traffic. This has been identified as an error in the base airport parking parameters which put in lots of small GA parking spots. Using the excellent ADE tool I've been able to tweak and trim the parking slots to make cargo jets go to DHL and UPS ramps and medium to large airliners end up on the passenger flight ramp. There may still be a few odd tweaks needed so if you spot something odd do let me know. The screenshots should convey how much more alive the ramp has become now that Airport specific jets are now appearing in the right places. As ever you're comments are welcomed.

The ZIP file you download will contain the latest V2.5 scenery updates as well as an additional secnery file which contains the amended parking. Just copy all the contents of the zip files into your community folder and you should be good to go.

V2.5

From V2.5 onwards I will only be offering the 'NoPlanes' version of this scenery. The advent of excellent add-ons such as FSLTL means I no longer need to put static aircraft in, the right aircraft should be flying in and parking up now. :) That said I will be keeping the AN-225 parked up outside the DHL facility in honour of our fallen friends in Ukraine.

This version is an incremental update incorporating feedback received in the comments... as ever they are greatly appreciated and I do try to address the queries raised. New in this version:

• Added more apron lighting to the length of the flightlne from DHL in the west to UPS in the east.
• Added car park lighting
• Updated East Midlands Gateway logistics park incorporating some new in construction buildings (according to Goodle Maps!)

Regarding FSLTL. I'm seeing comments regarding the EGNX mod being incompatible with FSLTL. I've tested this and even with all of the scenery removed so EGNX is back to MSFS default I get no liveried aircraft through FSLTL. I've made no changes other than adding scenery assets to the airport so can't see how I've made it incompatible with FSLTL, that being said I will continue to monitor and test.

V2.4

Re-instating the improved control tower, the north side fire training mockup and the admin building at the entrance to East Midlands Gateway that recent Sim Updates seem to have broken.

Inclusion of the rail to road container transfer yard adjacent to M1 Junction 24A and in memory of the AN-225, a static example in Ukrainian colours is parked outside the DHL facility.

Nottingham East Midlands Airport - EGNX V3.5

An enhancement to te EGNX scenery, brining it more to life, adding the aviation park, vehicles to the East Midland Gateway, improved ramp lighting, the two wind turbines, the Rolls-Royce hangar and Business Jets, a representation of the venerable An-225 Mryia and in the latest version updates to the Parking spots to work better with FSLTL.
