It's been more than a year since my last update. A lot has happened in the meantime. At that time I decided to remodel the plane. The development of the aircraft and my knowledge became more successful every day. Of course there were also setbacks, but now the time has come. I would like to release the Antonov An-225 Update 2.0. There is a short video (many thanks to Bompi) for this.
In the game I kept the liveries Ukraine and Russia separate. Since the aircraft is not yet final it is still on WIP status (work-in-progress)
Please remove the old AN225 mod from me before installing.

The Antonov An-225 "Mriya" (= dream) is a 6-jet cargo aircraft developed in the former Soviet Union and the largest and heaviest aircraft in use in the world, only 1 of which was completed and put into operation. It has the largest approved take-off mass of all aircraft built to date and has 6 engines and 28 wheels on the main landing gear.
Dear FS2020 community,
Since I am so enthusiastic about this simulation and the Antonov, I started modding the aircraft gradually to FS2020 about 2 months ago. This is my first big attempt at modding. I am not a professional modder. I only do this as a hobby.
The Antonov An-225 has been converted from FSX. The mod version is consciously V0.5 because it is still beta version.
The Boing 747-8 serves as the base and cockpit. Since FS2020 only supports 4 engines, only 4 engines will work. But all of them work optically.
I would like to thank the actual developer of the mod for FSX, the dear Douglas E. Trapp, for the release. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Thomas Ruth and William Luxton who modeled, painted and packed the antonov back then.
Installation:
1) Extract the Antonov AN225.zip
2) Drag the AN225 folder into your Community Folder
3) Have fun

I downloaded the folder, unzipped it to C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community, entered the game from steam, went to the aircraft list and did not see a new aircraft there, can someone help with this , maybe I need to turn off online synchronization or something else?

It's a freeware mate, you shouldn't expect a fully modelled cockpit. If your that bothered go and buy Inibuilds

You mention that the model is taken from FSX, and since you uploaded it with perms to even do so do you think it would be possible to upload one that has the original FSX cockpit? I know it would mean the cockpit won't be functional, but at least we would have a real AN-225 cockpit and we could use Ctrl+E. Anyway, thanks for uploading this mod!

This is Absolute Masterpiece, but i have minor issue. The Wing light Red and Green is not synced on the tip of the wings instead it's few meters away from the tip. Also the Logo light at the back end wing is only left side turned on. And lastly the nose landing gear light and turn light is not synced. Does any other have encounter this? Nontheless this is still 5 Star for me!

Can you please remove all AN225 folders from your community folder and download and paste the current version 2.0 again?
If the problem persists, please turn off all the lights once with the L button and then turn them on again.
If you still have the problem, please PM me with a screenshot of the red and green wing lights.

+Rep it works by using key bind "L" for turning on all Lights now it's fixed, though turning on lights using cockpit overhead switches still not sync all those light but this is still great!! THANKYOU!!!!

beatiful outside model but cockpit is painted like fake russian plane so this is why a have removed half of a star. minus one star is becose of 747 in the interior.
But as freeware addon this is one of the best of those 😊

The "Russia" livery technically is not "Russian". It carried a USSR (CCCP) livery when it carried the Buran Space Shuttle. Russia was just one of the republics in the USSR with Ukraine being another. So the aircraft was never "Russian". Not a political comment but a geographical comment.

AN-225 built by the USSR. it was built by both Russians and Ukrainians, as well as Buryats and more than 190 nationalities. Learn history.

It's free, if you got what you paid for you'd be sitting there with no Mriya. It's not easy to make a custom cockpit and the Boeing works just fine, wait for the iniBuilds one if you want a good model.

Very nice update. Textures are 1000x better. It looks super good and it flies better than it used to, all without a sim performance hit

It's very nice, the skin looks great. Only issue I have is the cockpit. The ECAS is not correct. From the images, I only see 4 engines and what looks like a BOEING auto pilot.
I am looking forward to the release of iniBuild to see how it fairs out.
I mean, what is a sim for, we would like closest to authencity in looks as well as handlling.
Besides, $20.00 today is nothing.

It's not a question of being ungrateful.
I am grateful to all the developers that have strived to put out mods to greater enhance our experiences and pleasure in MSFS.
I mean, yes, there has been a lot of effort put into the developement of this mod and it does look fantastic. (from a gaming point of view)
The only drawback is the cockpit instrumentation.
Using a 747 cockpit kind of misses out on the authenticity and the learning experience of the real thing.

One thing, it's all good but in the cockpit when it's daytime if you look down on the cockpit it's like the light rays get into the cockpit from wird angles, it's like the cockpit wasn't even there...

I noticed the same thing flying late afternoon with the sun shining from above and behind, the switches and controls from the overhead cast a shadow on the cockpit, but the sun shines in everywhere else. It would seem there is some portion of the cockpit model or feature missing that would otherwise be blocking the light.

Download and install this excellent plane following your instructions. I saw that in the content there are both the Soviet and the Ukrainian textures but only the Soviet one is shown. Is there any instruction
additional to see the UKRAINIAN since it was this one that was destroyed in the hangar.

You can select the plane separately in the game. So as a different plane. Not with livery selection
